I don't have anything to really say but don't want our thread to get lost at the bottom ;-)

three more days of chewable food for me. I have two more meals I want to enjoy in moderation, Chinese and pizza. Waiting for Moody to let me know what sounds good to her tonight. Thought I'd spend my waiting time on-line getting motivated!!

the cottage cheese spinach dip recipe:

1/2 cup fat free, low fat or regular cottage cheese
1/4 cup fat free sour cream

mix this in small blender until smooth.

add 1/2 box frozen spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed of liquids
add 1/2 cup your favorite reduced fat shredded cheese
add 1 TBSP of LIPTONS DRY onion dip mix

mix all well to blend..
add into small ramekins

top with 6 tsp parmesan cheese

bake 400 degrees until bubbly and slightly browned on top

enjoy with flat breads, veggies, homemade tortilla chips
(use a pizza wheel cutter to cut a flatout wrap into wedges, place on baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray or MISTO EVOO, then lightly spray the "chips" and salt...bake til just crisp)

i'm feeling much better go back to dr thurs. then hopefully back to the gym
gosh i miss the gym!! that is such a foreign idea to me haha

have a beautiful day ladies!!

Hope you keep feeling better Rainbow and you get the "all clear" for the gym.

Today is the start of my surgical diet. Clear liquids with a bowel cleanse today and then basically nothing chewable for 1-2 weeks. I went whole hog last night and am only slightly ashamed of it. Chinese; Singapore Rice Noodles, 4 crab rangoon, 2 egg rolls and then between 8pm and 11pm I ate a whole bag of miniature powdered doughnuts. My mind going into this is to eat as healthy as possible during my restrictions and then to continue it forever. This is my chance to clean out my system and start fresh. I don't know when I'll be able to eat salads and fresh fruit again and I can't have whole wheat or bran for 4-6 weeks so I'm going to stick to the healthiest I can.

Surgery is tomorrow so I'm not sure when I'll be on again after that but I will do my best to get a March thread started.

Keep up the great work and keep me posted!
M

Rainbowsmiles: Thanks for the recipe. It looks so good.
Goodnuff: I will keep you in my prayers. It sounds like you have a great plan in place to be right on track!
This week has gone OK but I have not done well writing things down. I have tracked in my head but that makes me nervous so I really need to get out that pen and paper. I was up .2 pounds this past Saturday and I really don't want to be up again. I desearved the gain so I am moving on but I really want to keep moving down the scale.
Take care goodnuff! Have a great week everyone.

The last day of the month! That went by fast. I think overall that I'm doing ok. I'm up in weight but I think gaining is normal right after surgery from the IV fluids and anesthesia. I have only been eating mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, yogurt and pudding since Thursday and that is getting old. Hopefully my doc will let me move on to casseroles and such today.
I started a March thread and hope to see you all posting.
