Great job! I need to do that. We don't have stairs, but I'm sure I could use the outdoor step or something. Thanks for motivating me to give it a try!

I'd like to lose 25 lbs by 1/1/11. That should put me right at or, hopefully, below 300 - I'll find out when I go to the doctor on Monday for a checkup.

OK, this worked last time...so HERE WE GO....

Dear 211,

Don't be shy now. You can show yourself on my scale and I will greet you with a smile and a cheer. Or, if you are too shy and would rather, I will be quiet and just acknowledge silently that you have finally shown up.

And to my dear friend 212, I was so happy when you arrived, but you have stayed long enough. Let's make room for 211 now. We will still have our memories of our time together.

Hope to see you soon, 211,
Dana

I know I'm a little late, but I'd love to join your thread. I know I'm going to need some help staying on track with all the holidays coming soon. My goal will be to be under 350 by the new year. If I can make it down to 345, that will be 75 lbs lost. Wow... Putting that in writing feels good.

She's losingit, I have NO IDEA how I managed it, wish I could help. I think maybe the fact I've been losing & gaining this 15-20lbs for over a year and I'm sick of it might have stopped me. My ankle (been broken 3+ times) and hips hurt as well as being worried about chloresterol (my Dad had a x4 bypass this year) contributed too. I think that the 'one day at a time' thought helps too, but I go 'one meal at a time'.

sharon- I have gained and lost the same 20lbs for almost yrs now. Guess I should be happy I only regained 20lbs. When I lose it this time its gone for good!!
Sorry to hear your dad is sick again, I can so relate to this. My dad had emergency surgery on sunday to remove a tumor from his bladder that had him completely blocked. He is doing good now and back at the resthome. MOm looks awful and is sooooooo thin now, I think the stress is wearing her down.
hugs to all

Dana WELL DONE!!! xxxxx
Debbie sorry to hear about your Dad, it makes us aware that they aren't going to be here for ever, lets appreciate & love them whilst we still have them. My Mum has lost weight too, without trying, as wives & Mums it's our job to worry, give her a big hug next time you see her I tell my Mum I love her every time we speak on the phone now. Hey at least we are losing the weight now, I hope nothing happens to derail us, here's to SMALLER clothes for Christmas! xxxxx
Well TOM arrived after only 10 days since last time...I'm in pain and VERY irritated! BUT I am still OP, though exercise, apart from walking has to wait.
xxxxx sharon
ps I lost 5lbs on Friday! woohoo
