Hi all,
Kayley, that was a good challenge yesterday! I increased my treadmill walk from 30 minutes @ 3mph to 45 minutes @ 3.3mph. I REALLY felt rejuvenated and excited that I pushed myself but boy did my thighs hurt afterwards!...LOL. I need to do/learn better stretches.
I'm doing WW points, so I'm already weighing and tracking everything.
I like the idea of trying new recipes and trying a different exercise dvd than the ones you would normally use. Also, how about adding an exercise that focuses on certain body parts? Like, doing a certain amount of lunges, squats, leg lifts (all which I personally hate doing..LOL). I dunno, just some suggestions.

Ohh can't wait for the recipe one. When is that?? Maybe we should have a recipe one every week. I mean I think we all agreed Sunday should be a "find a moment for yourself/do something nice for yourself" day...could we have a recipe day too? Just tossing out ideas and I love the focusing on body type exercises. Like "do a push up," which I can't do lol. I try though and the day i do it WOOHOOOO! haha

Sorry I havent posted much since we started but my mom had to go in for surgery last thursday so Ive been trying to take care of her but Ive also been able to work out monday-friday. But I havent been able to eat very well sitting up at the hospital all day. But now shes home so I should be able to eat alot better. Today I got in a really good work out it seems to have helped with me being so stressed out. I hope I can keep up the good work.

Hope you all did well today! I don't have a food scale, but I already track & measure everything I eat everyday. Hit my calorie range, didn't go over any of my nutrients, and overall, had a good day. Ate lots of fruit & veggies, too.

Alright, ladies!! What's the challenge for tomorrow?!
Perhaps try something new, as Carol mentioned? Either a recipe, exercise, food, etc.? Just something NEW to you?!
Something else?! Suggestions, ladies.

Success at today's challenge. I always write everything down but don't always measure all my veggies - did today!
Let's try something new tomorrow. Make it of your liking - a new recipe, a new workout, a new food (like Debbie's raw okra). Remember variety keeps the boredom from setting in.

Excellent! I already know what I'm going to do for tomorrow, and I'm actually really excited to get my booty to the gym tomorrow, and try it!

I did really well yesterday. I accounted for everything I ate, got rid of a lot of cooked leftover foods, and you know I noticed that it doesn't take much to fill me up. Which provides a bit of an interesting problem...I need to get enough food in me so I think I need to eat more mini meals during the day. Even if it is just carrots or something. I didn't weigh my food, but I did pay attention to sizes. I've been measuring oatmeal out and such as well. Amazing what 1/2 a cup makes! lol A lot...hahahaha

Yesterdays challenge was easy for me also. I already weight and measure everything. I came in perfect on calories.

What Debbie said hit home - some of these challenges are already such an ingrained part of us. How can we make them a challenge for all? Getting my water in is never an issue for me so that challenge wasn't so much of a challenge for me but I know others struggle with it - I'm not so creative - how can I use that challenge to my advantage?
Let's post the weekly challenge list not later than the weekend - suggestions needed.
Good luck with today's challenge!

Hmmmm...I'll be thinking about it, Carol. We could always combine the water challenge with the day for fruits & veggies (if we're going to keep that one). Water isn't a challenge for me, but getting all my veggies in is, so I'd have to really step it up on that day. Just thinking....
Anyhow, today's challenge is all finished for me! I went to the gym this morning before class, and did strength training and the stability ball. And then I tried out the Bosu Ball, which I'd never done before. Only did about 5 minutes on it, but boy was it tough! Much more difficult than the stability ball! I don't remember what the rules about linking are, but just do a Google search if you don't know what a Bosu Ball is.

Way to go kayley!
I am going to try and put my fork down between every bite of food today.I noticed some how over the summer I had started eating faster again. So my challenge is to put my fork down between each bite of food I take and get a drink of water. I have never made a concious effort to do this before.

Hello and good evening to all,
Glad you all had such a good day. I did not participate in today's challenge becasue I do not go to the gym or even have the time to excerise like you wonderful ladies. So today, I just challenged myself to positive no matter what. It worked.
Now ladies, what's up for tomorrow????

Ags - today was try something new - whatever you want - it could be a new recipe, or even like Debbie said - putting your fork down between each bite.
My something new was exercised based - after my training session I did an extra cardio session - wo w it was hard starting out but I feel so energized.
What's tomorrow ladies?
