Also gggirls, your puppies are so cute! I am truly a sucker for labs and OMG!, your labradoodle is just adorable. Thank you for sharing.
nooch- Hope the new job is going well and hope you can still find time for more 3FC.
I'll check back in later!

Good Saturday Morning Everyone,
The weekend is here, yeah! Even better Thanksgiving is only 5 days away, Yeah! I can't wait to cook, cook, cook. I'd be interested in hearing what everyone else's plans are. Let's get to the personals...
gggirls- Again thank you for sharing your puppies with us. This is my four legged baby Peanut. She is about 8 1/2 years old and just a blessing to have around.

nooch- Whoa, slow down little lady. Pull up a barstool and sit a spell. Hope the new job is going well.
Ags- I know you are on cloud nine with your little darling Mali spending time with grandma. Enjoy every moment you have with him.
HotWings- How is your daughter feeling, better I hope. My son stayed home from school yesterday also. Just didn't feel the need to push him back for one day. We'll play catch up over the Thanksgiving break.
Oat- I sure do miss my fellow early bird poster. I hope all is well with you and your family.
As for me I had an OP day yesterday. I got all my Thanksgiving grocery shopping done, except a few bits of produce that I'll get probably tuesday. I'm gonna try to avoid the stores wednesday.
I picked up another slow cooker/crockpot yesterday in Walmart, so now I'll have 4 going for thursdays dinner. #1 will be the turkey breast, #2 will be the dressing, #3 will be creamed corn & broccoli, and #4 is my mini crockpot I use to keep the gravy warm. That leaves me more room in my oven for the other Thanksgiving dinner essentials, like sweet potato casserole, turnips, and my mashed potato casserole.
Here is my quote of the day.
"What worries you, masters you!"
Ladies, have a great saturday and remember...
ONLY 35 MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Hi everyone ... I've posted some photos of my kitty Sunday who sadly passed on last year. Yes, he only had one eye, but was very cute. He loved to sit in the door and look outside.
Oatmeal ... it sounds as though you are having such a difficult time with your medical issues. Hugs to you, baby. I will say a prayer for you, we miss you here.
gggirls ... oh my gosh! What a pair of cuties! Your doggies look like they have mama wrapped around their pretty paws.
Learn ... I love your Peanut! What a happy doggie. Hope your new teenager feels great soon. Oh, the picture you posted on his birthday was Gorgeous! You are a very good photographer. (Your Christmas countdown still makes me nervous, LOL.)
Ok, Learn, your puppy pictures are BIG and gggirls puppy pictures are small. How do you make them big and appear right in the message? I know how to do the attachment like gggirls, but not like you. Help me please!
Ags ... I love how you put a positive spin on everything.
Nooch ... good to see you!
HotWings ... hope your little girl is better soon. And don’t tell her about Santa Claus until she’s ready (saw your other thread). I'd love to know how you end up telling your little boy. Regarding the water retention -- is there some trick to get rid of it, or does it just go away after awhile?
Ok, I have been struggling since I’ve been home. Haven’t been exercising because I’m only here for a couple of weeks and don’t belong the gym here anymore. Why I can’t just go for a walk is beyond me.
I have not really eaten above my calorie goals, but what concerns me is I have been sort of bingeing even though the foods are “good” food. I haven’t gained any weight but haven’t lost any either. That’s not what concerns me though, it is the binge-type behavior where I eat too much of one thing and too fast.
So my positive is today I will not indulge in binge-type eating of any type of food, even if it’s vegetables. I will prepare normal-type meals with a variety of foods and be satisfied with normal serving sizes. I will also go for a walk today.

Learn - what a precious pup. I'm a sucker for a lab - such good dogs. Our Goldie was 17 years old when we made the choice to ease her pain. Pretty old for a lab. I'm so glad to hear about your Thanksgiving preparations. Normally - that's me. This is the first time in 13 years we haven't done it here. We skipped one year and had done it the previous 10 years. So in the last 24 years we've done 23 of them - I love planning the menu - getting everything in - making a special centerpiece. It feels strange but it feels right. DH told his son last night he will need to find somewhere else and we both have some guilt over it. After we talked through it we realized he has in-laws, he has a mother and to he is 34 years old - old enough that he and his wife could host it themselves. Didn't really help the guilt much though.
Ags - so what's your plan for Thursday? I'm sure you will cook up a storm - any healthy choices involved? I think I'm going to roast some sweet potatoes to take to my sisters. Oh - I also found a recipe for spicy cranberries - involves fresh cranberries and jalapenos - interested in the recipe? I plan to use splenda for the sugar syrup.
Oats - so great to see you back. Do you have a diagnosis since they have found meds to help the pain? Will you be off on Thanksgiving?
Nooch - thanks for stopping by. How's the Avenue - when do you leave for NYC?
Hotwings - how's the kiddo? Hope she is feeling much better. Will DH be home for Thanksgiving? Share your plans if you get a chance.
In case you can't tell I'm very focused on Thanksgiving - one of my favorite holidays. I love the family time and the love that flows - I hope this year is the same but will just be on a smaller scale (a lighter one too). I will make my famous cinnamon rolls but will also choose some healthy side dishes to take.
AND.........Thanksgiving morning I have signed up for a local Turkey Trot. I will do the walk - there is also a run. The money goes to a local nature sanctuary. What a great way to start the day!
Be well and be warm.

CJ - we were posting at the same time. I wanna know how to do the big pictures too.
Now - get out there and go for a walk - I'm gonna ask later.
That binge type behavior is scary for me - I could have wrote your post. Stay strong today - and then tomorrow.
Hugs,
Carol

Posting larger pictures...
You'll need to be able to have two windows up on your computer at the same time. I just shrink them down so half is on one side and half on the other.
I use photobucket.com to keep all my photos I post on forums. Once your pictures are down loaded to their site and you have your album up on one of the windows and 3FC on the other window you'll type what you want on 3FC. Click on the other website window, go to the picture in your album you want to share with us, but don't click on the picture yet, just move your cursor on top of it. You'll see 3 small windows come up under your picture.
Click on IMG Code. The bottom one. It should highlight the box next to it. Hold down your control key and click again, click on "Copy." Go to 3FC and click anywhere in the box that you were typing in to activate the page. Hold down the control key again, click and click on "Paste." The IMG Code should come up in the box. You can click on preview post to see if it worked.
I hope this explains it O.K. Sometimes I ain't so good at directions.

Good afternoon all of my favorite peeps,
It is a wonderful day here in Va. The air is crisp and I am really feeling the holidays. Scents in the air and holiday decorations just seem to make my spirit SOAR!!!! What a feeling!!!
Oats, I was so happy to see your post today. I am so sorry that you are going through so much, but once it is all said and done, Through our God you will be so much stronger in more ways than one. Until then my love, I will be continually praying for you.
Learn, love all of the pics, you are amazing!!! Now sista, four crocks going all at once, I bow to you. I have not even taken mine out of the box yet, intimadated for some reason. Baby I love the Christmas count, I cannot wait till then, it is my favorite time of year for so many many reasons. Thank you more than you will ever know for that quote!!!! I needed that one.
CJ, yay, happy to see you as always darling. Once you get the picture thing figured out, I want to see more of you. And if I did not tell you, I am so proud of you for the pic you posted. You know what I mean........CJ, I know what you mean about the eating, for some reason, I have not totally been in control, and it is starting to freak me out. I have got to get my portions back in control. I think I was under judging my points for the portions, gotta get this right. But this I do know, Learn was exactly right about "What worries you, masters you", and this cannot be my MASTER. There is so much more to life than me worring about this constantly. Now baby doll get out there and walk. Your kitty was beautiful!!!!
Carol, you are so right, I will be cooking up a storm and there will be healthly versions of it all and they will never even know it!!! ha ha ha!!! I am lightening up everything!!!! Yes, I definetly want that recipe, you know how I love spice!!! Good looking out girl.
Carol, isn't it just wonderful, the family, the sharing, the love over flowing, the smells that just make you feel all warm and cozy. This is what life is all about, the love for one another and being thankful and greatfull. Four of my daughters are participating in a local Turkey Trott as well that morning. I am so proud of them. For those of you that know Cakebatter, she just ran her firs 1/2 marathon(13.1) miles and did very well. I will try to post the link so you darlings can see her pics. Carol, enjoy your Trott.
Well sweeties, I am off to the kitchen to see what's ahead for this evening's din din.
Later gators,
And love to all whom are not here,
Hugs love and blessings,
Ags

Good Sunday Morning,
Today is going to be a truly wonderful day, I can just feel it in the air. Let me get to personals.
Oat- So glad to see you back, I have missed you. I am so sorry you have been in so much pain. I truly hope the meds help while all these MRI's are being done. Be better soon. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
CJ- I hope my instructions for posting bigger pictures isn't too confusing. And your kitty's face was just precious. My kitty Gizmo loves the window sill and sunbathing. Before we moved in with my mom to care for her we had a hot tub with a hard vinyl cover and that was his favorite place to sleep. It was on a screened in porch and he would eat breakfast and then demand to go out on the porch, and spend all day out there.
gggirls- I hope you had a great day yesterday and I hope my picture posting instructions help you also.
Ags- I heard a rumor that little Mali was keeping you running. I do hope you count that as exercise for the day, cause it counts Baby!
As for me I had an OP day again yesterday. I am saving up for a little extra Thanksgiving dinner. It's just one meal, I'm gonna enjoy w/o over doing it and then move on.
Here is my quote of the day...
"It doesn't cost a cent to smile, no matter how high inflation goes up."
Ladies have a great day and remember...
ONLY 34 MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Learn!!!! Goooood Morning girl!! I have missed your posts also .. I have not even had time to read the posts I have missed !!! I am hoping to be able to post more!!!!!! I loved your pictures of your doggie and your little one !! :-)
ggirl.... You asked if they knew what is wrong no they have ruled out Arthritus for sure .. I have 3 more days of MRI's and 2 more lab pannels they are doing . This Dr is determined .. I can't take any medication like NSAIDS so pain meds are limited .. So he put me on a whole differnt type and I am blessed I get a full night rest taking right before bed .. No I don't get Thanksgiving off .. Hubby works Christmas so I said I would work Christmas also .. Then we are taking a long weekend in January and heading to hill country in Texas for our Holiday time ..
CJ... Thank you so much for the prayers I sure can feel them .. I am a very strong willed person health issues will not defeat me !! I am a trooper kind of like the every ready bunny ,, I keep going and going !! Hope you have a Awesome Thanksgiving!!
Nooch... Happy Thanksgiving !!! I hope your new Job has been a blessing!!!
My Positive for today is .. I have been blessed with another day of the gift of life !!! Thank you Jesus!!! I choose to enjoy this day and be grateful for all that he has brought me through! I am blessed !!
Good friends must not always be together; It is the feeling of oneness when distant That proves a lasting friendship
Thank you each one for being my true friends!! I thank God for each one of you!!!

Hi everyone ... this is a trial to figure out how to upload a larger picture using Learn's directions (thank you!)
This is my kitty looking out the door (posted the other day). And -- yay! -- the technique works! THANK YOU LEARN!
Yesterday was a really good day for my eating. I stayed under my calories and -- more importantly -- didn't overdose on any one thing. I even baked marinated garlic/lime chicken breasts plus I walked a little over 5000 steps (I have a GoWear Fit that tracks steps) which is 2.5 miles. That is the whole day, so it's really not that great, but better than nothing. Today I will try to walk a little more.
Carol, thanks for the kick-in-the-butt, I needed that!
Ags -- regarding portion control, it is probably my main food issue. I am actually quite good at eating the right type of foods. I almost never indulge in sweets or overdo carbs etc. nowadays (the sugar-free pudding cup episode being the only exception in recent memory).
But I can get into overdosing on just about any food, stuffing it in. I know it's better to stuff in vegetables than cookies (for example) but I want to stop that "inhaling" kind of behavior all together. I pretty much allow myself as much fibrous veggies as I want (asparagus, green salad, etc) because they have almost no calories. I think this is okay. I just don't want to have my eating of them (or anything) to be mindless and out-of-control because it's a very bad habit. I have to replace mindless with mindful. And I have to keep reminding myself here.
Oatmeal -- thank you for posting, we miss you. I know you are telling yourself all the time that you are blessed etc. but I do hope and pray that your pain goes away and that you totally are pain-free and happy.
My positive ... another good day of eating and a little more walking today. That will make it a fabulous day.

Hello everyone!
Seems like I have a lot of reading to catch up with
We have been having a rough time recently and my head or heart havent been in the right place to do what I should have been doing for myself. My dad has now started his chemo, though he is having some side effects, hopefully it will all be worth it.
My little boy has been very poorly. We all caught some viral thing with a nasty cough only Jaakko also developed a very high fever. Took him to the doctor who found a ear infection, but routine blood tests found some other problems, potentially very serious. We have had 3 weeks of **** . Last week they took 5 vials of blood from my poor baby, he is only 2. We should get the results today. I think we have most of the UK and Finland with crossed fingers this morning.
On the positive side, I picked myself up last Monday, weighed this morning and Im down 2.6lbs! Ive put my ticker back up to what it is now and Im going to enjoy watching it go back down again.
