I finally got my license back! Yay! The end to an arduous saga.

I got up at a decent hour today and had a good breakfast. I know that I have to recommit and I have finally found something that works for me which means that I'm awesome.

Had a wonderful trip to hill country .... I have so much to catch up on so I dont have long to post tonight !! Hope everyone is doing ok and planning to be successful through the up coming holidays !!

My positive is while away I got in a lot of extra walking in ...

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek his grace. And then when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

AGS: Girl I am worried about you. They are talking evacuation and 8 feet of flooding tonight on Fox News. The pics were from Hampton on the news earlier and there was a lot of flooding. I hope you can update here soon - even more, I hope your little booty is out of town and safe somewhere!

In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins ... not through strength, but through persistence.

Hi Ags -- you are only 1/2 block from the water? From the ocean? Hope the storm passed without danger and the sun shines bright for you and your lovely man.

HotWings -- I just saw your post, you must have been posting the same time as me! I echo what you said to Ags -- I hope she evacuated if the authorities called for an evacuation. (PS Hope you're well and happy.)

Learn -- you must be some special mom for your soon-to-be teenage son to still think you’re awesome! I think it’s because he’s awesome and you’re always showing him you think so. Also, I definitely think you should go to the doctor if your stomach is bothering you so much.

gggirls -- “Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE” ... a great tip for a nice life.

DasBeat -- Welcome to the thread! It sounds like you’re on a positive roll.

Oatmeal
-- WELCOME HOME!

My positive is I did pretty well with my eating today, stayed within my calories and no “white” carbs. Tomorrow I hope to get in a bit more walking.

I feel weird that I don't have a regular time to pop into the thread! I guess I am just unpredictable like that

Ags, I hope you are safe from the weather! We've been calling all our friends & family in the path of that all day and it looks awful on the news.

Learn, it is AWESOME that your son still thinks it's cool to hang out with his mom! I was hoping my little brother (14 in a week, that reminds me I better mail his birthday present!) would escape the "my family is SOOOO embarrassing" phase but nope, apparently he is the only one to ever have a family and all his friends hatched from eggs. I can't wait til big sis is cool again! And on a serious note, feel better soon! No, wait, feel better NOW!

gggirls, it is great to hear that the little one is getting better! We would love to see him to give him a proper 3FC welcome when/if you can post a picture

DasBeat, welcome to the thread These ladies have become my internet moms & sisters! Congratulations on getting your license back and on finding something that works for YOU - since you are the only person you have to answer to! Also, your earrings in your avatar picture are gorgeous - do you have a larger picture? I'd love to see it.

Oatmeal, yayyyy you're back! Glad you had an awesome trip and got all that walking in! You will FLY through the holidays on plan as ever!

CJZee, love the quote! And way to stay on plan!

As for me, I had an exhausting but fabulous day - house stuff, taking my car in for something with the brakes, cooking, baking, and now I am RELAXING! As for the cookies I baked, I had two and the rest are either going to work with my husband tomorrow or I am bringing them to a friend's house. I like the act of baking more than I care about the final product but it's still a bad idea for me to have an entire batch of cookies around. So my positive for the day is realizing that and not getting all bent out of shape over it.

Also, my mother and I (I don't know how much detail I have gone into here but we have not always had the best relationship, or any relationship at times) seem to have found some common ground now that I am older and she is more mature and we have been getting along better than ever. I am so thankful for that as I don't like feeling like my own mother is a stranger to me.

Hope everyone had a great day (even you all lurking - I know you're there!) and has a better day tomorrow!

Good Morning All,
T.G.I.F.
gggirls- I read your post yesterday just about 5 minutes before Dr. Oz ended. I sure would have liked to see that episode. So sorry I missed it.

DasBeat- WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME to our humble thread full of positiveness. I look forward to getting to know you. I'm so glad you found something that works for you and your right, you are awesome!

Oat- So glad your back and so glad you enjoyed your trip.

HotWings- I believe Ags is alright. I have seen her posting on facebook via her cell phone, but she is getting pounded with that terrible storm and has no power.

CJ- I think your right, I must be special for God to have blessed me with such an awesome son. He is so well behaved, caring, and extremely smart. And OMG! What a sense of humor that boy has. Oh and my stomach is feeling quite a bit better this morning.

nooch- Don't worry big sis will be cool again someday. Although I have 3 older siblings and right now I think they are all selfish idiots. I'm so glad you are able to find a place that works for you and your mom.

As for me my positive is my stomach thing seems to be easing up. I am feeling quite a bit better this morning. I am struggling with another case of water retention though, but I am woman... see me bloat! It's just part of my journey.

Here is my quote of the day. Since the subject of kids has come up a few times I thought this one was fitting. It is by Pablo Picasso

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he or she grows up."

That is it for me ladies. Have a wonderful friday and remember...

Happy Friday! I never made it back yesterday to finish up personals - sorry bout that.

Baby update first - he is off oxygen (YES) - the feeding tube is still in. My understanding is as he gains strength the lung issue should resolve itself. They even mentioned going home by Monday. Mama hasn't been taking such good care of herself - they put a bed for her with him last night - I hope she gets some rest so she can take care of him once they get home.

Ags - be safe! I've been watching the weather - don't think it would do any good to say stay dry. Hugs to you all.

Oatmeal - great to see you back. Sounds like just the R&R you needed.

Nooch - you are such an inspiration to me - you really touch me and I thank you for that. You know I may feel the same way about baking but never stopped to consider it - thanks for pointing that out. I will pay more attention to it next time I do any. Cookies however are my favorite food group so they don't come in the house. Mother relationships are truly touchy. I'm so very grateful to have my mom - she is 81 and healthy but she can sure push my buttons. I always try to take a step back and remember that - just this week I opened my mouth and hurt her feelings - wasn't necessary and I feel bad - wasn't something that could be changed and not something important in the big picture of how important family is.

Das - welcome!

Hotwings - were your ears burning? I received an invitation to visit the fair next year. I hope it works out that we can go - sounds like a blast.

CJ - thanks! I used to end every post that way - they are all keys to our success.

Learn - all I saw of me on Dr Oz was not my best side - plank position with my backside up in the air. I'm sure you would have recognized me - lol. Glad to hear you are starting to feel better.

In addition to the wonderful baby update above I had a great day. I walked to the hospital for my training session - was a little early so rode the bike hard for 20 minutes - 30 minute upper body session and then a great walk home. Somebody pinch me - I need to know this is really me loving this.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE (look in the mirror and do this too).

Hey everybody,

Thank you all so much for your prayers, concerns and just plain old good friendship. I tired about 20 times yesterday to get to the site, but kept shutting down. Did anyone else have this problem, I could go to FaceBook and everywhere else, but 3fc would not come up for me.

So here it is...........My positive is.............IDA HAS LEFT THE STATE!!!!!!! WE ALL ARE SAFE!!!!!!!!!! She flooded out my street, my yard, my neighborhood and so much of my area and surrounding areas. It took my back door off, My daughter lost her power for two days and they all crashed here with us. Some of the waters have started to receed, huge limbs and trees fell. THe limbs just missed my car. Thank you Lord for your grace, your mercy, and your angels protecting us on every side. I thank you for my friends who kept us in their prayers (all of you lovely ladies). My positive for the day is .....I AM BACK!!!!!

Carol, I never had to WI due to the weather, I doubt it if anyone did. The positive of that is that I have another week to make sure I get it right. How is that great nephew?

DasBeat, WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME AND WELCOME ONCE AGAIN. We love new folks here, so seat back, take your shoes off and stay awhile.

Okay dolls, will be back in just a few, daddy is fussing about the computer and me on it. Will do rest of the personals then.

Love and hugs and blessings,
Ags

My positive for the day is that 3FC is back up, hooray!

I will probably be gone pretty much the rest of the day as a family friend (the one I brought the medicine to the other day) is really, really sick (disabled due to a work accident 17 years ago, liver problems, no immune system, and chronic pneumonia) and I'm going to help his wife as much as I can. If you could keep my friends in your prayers I know they will help.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi everyone! This is the first place I stopped, as the site has been down for several days -- at least I couldn't get to it!

Ags, I'm so glad you posted and that you're safe.

More later. CJ

Good Sunday Morning Everyone,
Well it looks like things are back to normal here on 3FC. Now if we can just get some of you M.I.A.'s back to the POSITIVE UPLIFTING thread I'd really be happy.
maria, Katarina, Sara, dgramie, lost, bbybear, nonabee, fungirl, Inked, LeslieB, Maple, bite, giggle, look, dcapulet, and Shia, where the heck are you gals, we miss you terribly.

Let's get to business...
Ags- Yes we were all in the same situation, no 3FC and how frustrating it was. So glad the storm has left your area. Now it's pounding my niece in MA.

nooch- Your friends are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

CJ- Hope all is well with you and your catching up on things there at home.

As for me I did O.K. yesterday with my eating. I think I could have done better, but today is a new day. I've got a beach wedding to shoot this evening so that's always good for some extra exercise. I haven't walked in a few days, no reason or excuse why, just didn't. I've been in a bad mood lately and I just don't know why.

Here is my quote of the day...

"Winning isn't everything. Wanting to win is."

Ladies have a great day and remember...
ONLY 41 MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Hi everyone, happy Sunday!

Thanks goodness 3FC is back up and running. I hope the sale of 3FC was not responsible for this big outage, I guess the sale occurred some time ago but no one announced it until recently.

gggirls ... so glad the little one is getting better and that momma is near him now. Ok, I would have loved to see you in the plank position with your backside up in the air! That’s what makes us strong.

Ags ... well, thank goodness you’re safe and the tree limbs missed your car and all is okay in Aggie-land. Give us an update when you have time.

Nooch -- I do believe praying for people, even (or maybe especially) those we don’t know like your friend, helps both them and us. I am not a particularly religious person, but I do believe this. You are a good friend to be so attentive to your friends in need.

And to Learn, our wonderful gatekeeper ... I’m doing okay with my “things to do” list, not great but not bad. Hope you have a good wedding and be careful of your poor back.

Well, I posted the following on the NSV (non-scale victory) thread, and I’d like to share this as my positive of the day:

Yesterday, I pulled an old pair of linen pants out of the closet -- you know the kind with the drawstrings? Well, I was amazed that I had to pull the drawstrings really tight so the pants wouldn't fall down ... they are size regular 20 and waaaay too big, bunching all over ! I probably won't ever wear them again.

I've had these pants for maybe 10 years, couldn't wear them at all for awhile and NEVER have had to pull the drawstring -- in fact I couldn't pull it before because I filled them out to the max! They are non-stretch and not at all forgiving.

Yesterday, I was walking down a dock taking some photos, and a guy I didn't know asked me whether I wanted to go on a ride on his boat (I said "no".)

I fell off the wagon big time yesterday - that's what a glass of wine (or two or three) does to me. Today is a new day - the scale reminds me I can't do what I did yesterday without paybacks. Lots of water - eating the way I need to eat and all will be good.

CJ - don't you wish you would have tried those pants on earlier so you could have enjoyed them? Time to go closet shopping?

Learn - yes - today is a new day. I've also been in a bit of a funk lately. Let's kick it to the trash - deal?

Nooch - remembering your friends in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for helping them in any way you can.

Good Sunday morning, chicks!

CJ: I don't feel like I am losing that fast. Especially the last two weeks. See.. I was going around jealous of another chickie on 3FC that is losing like there is no tomorrow. It seems we each have our own pace, but sooner or later both you and I will be where we want to be. Isn't it an awesome feeling to put on something you wore before and have it literally FALLING off?? That has to be one of the best feelings in the whole world!! The pants I started out my journey with can now be easily pulled on and off without undoing the button & zipper, and they look hideously loose on me.

learn: I am in a bad feeling funk, too. I am okay, just down. I wish I could shake this feeling - it is really getting on my nerves! I wish I could switch to autopilot so feelings would not affect my eating plan or anyone around me!

nooch: Your friends are in my prayers!! Please update and let us know how things are going. It is wonderful of you to spend that time helping a friend, and you will be blessed for it.

Ags: I am soooo glad you are back and everyone & everything is fine! I did not like worrying about mama Ags.

gggirls: Yay - baby is getting better & better. You will LOVE the fair - there has never been a time when we have gone and NOT had a fantastic day. It would be neat to see you there and say hello!

For me: I am down. Just down. I have actually GAINED a pound and cannot figure out why this is happening to me - I am just holding and holding on to water in my body. I stopped taking a supplement yesterday that I was taking for something not diet related. I am hoping that is it. I have fluctuated between 1300 and 1700 calories each day for the last two weeks except for one which was about 2200 because I let my down feelings get the best of me. Most days I am smack in the middle at 1500. But still, I am not losing. I just can't imagine at my current weight why I would not lose with that amount of calories. Even if I am retaining water, wouldn't the scale eventually go down something?? SO I am feeling down, mad, annoyed.. but I will keep going.

My positive is that I went shopping Friday. The only pants I have that fit me decently are an old pair of 24W jeans (about 12 years old or so). I ended up buying what I believe works out to be a size smaller than that - the pair was Right Fit jeans @ Lane Bryant - a Blue 5, which I *think* is like a 22W. Their sizing on those pisses me off. I like the color thing for different figure types, but really, seriously, women going in there KNOW they are fat - they don't need some kind of delusion that they are a "5". LOL, dang. I have such a hard time with pants, and have all my life. My waist and butt are a 22W, but my THIGHS & CALVES are more like a 26. Most styles right now seem to have slim legs. But these fit me fine & I got them (got the dark rinse denim color):

http://www.lanebryant.com/right-fit-...3973/index.pro

And yes, I will be sporting some sexy heels with them.

Later, chicks - keep movin!
