So the I think I am going to delay the keto thing. being the beginning of the new year I think I got a bit ahead of myself. I've done lots of research on the keto and fasting, so I feel confidant cognitively with it, but I forgot that my body needs to get with it to. I think I am going to try to get a handle on the fasting first and then when that feels okay and I don't feel insane, I will try to add the keto diet into it. So for now, just cal counting, low carbs, lean meats, whole foods, healthy fats (which is keto....but without all the math) LMAO

Ronda, thanks! I only have 2 boys. If you can do it with 5 kids, I better be able to do something! . I've been working a lot of overtime as well which I think is a bit of a cause. Making my own meals seems to help. Yesterday was low carb shepherds/cottage pie with tons of veggies. Hubby has already eaten half of it tho. :/

I would love to join this thread with some daily weigh-ins. I am more of a lurker on this forum and I don't really post as much as I used to but I have gained back a lot of weight a lost a few years ago and I need more accountability.

How is everyone doing?
I haven't been able to get on the desktop to post, I can't copy/paste on mobile, and with an infant, all of my surfing is done on my phone while I nurse!

Hi CleverName! Seems like we are on the same boat. I'm also trying to lose weight while looking after 5 children. My June goal is my weight before my first pregnacny. I really hope I will see that number on the scales again!
My youngest one was born in January 2016. I tried to lose weight in apring-summer but it just bounced up and down and eventually I gave up. Trying again now I don't breastfeed so very often...

Hi ladies. Hopefully some of you remember me! I'm back and plan to log my weight daily. I keep thinking I can do it without 3FC, but somehow my weight is not only climbing, but climbing rapidly! I am now somewhere in the lowish 180's. I'll find out exactly tomorrow. I feel puffy and uncomfortable in my skin. THis sounds weird, but i quit my gym membership. I must be the only person to quit in January haha! I would get the urge to work out, and I wouldn't have time to drive there at that second, so I'd say I'll do it tomorrow at the gym, then not feel like going the next day. I have weights, a treadmill, a bike, and a dog who loves to run with me, and access to drop in yoga studios around me, so I'll use that sometimes. I have a big trip to Paris in June that I need to be ready for! Hopefully I can drop 30 lbs by then

Hi Ronja! I remember you from years past, probably from this 30-somethings group. I'm also going for my pre-first pregnancy weight, I'm hoping for my birthday in October, but that might be a bit too ambitious. That would be a pound a week, which is doable, but it would require diligence, which I don't think I have.

HIheart, I don't think I remember you- I'm back in the past month or so, my youngest is 2 months old tomorrow and so I've also been back on 3FC, poking around in the various groups.

I'm still hovering around the same numbers, bouncing between 193-195. It would probably help if I reigned in my eating a bit. That will be my goal for this week, to track my food intake and be mindful of what I put in my mouth.

Every time I hit a long plateau I feel the same way, and I have cried about it. Sometimes it feels like we're doing all the right things and yet nothing is changing, like no matter what we do we can't get results. It's kind of a depressing, helpless feeling that makes the goal seem unobtainable. At least it does eventually get better. As long as you stay dedicated you can overcome obstacles like these. Unfortunately weight loss isn't as linear as we'd like it to be, and there are other factors that come into play besides food and exercise. Just be glad you aren't like me plateauing every couple of months. I was pretty bummed about how little weight I'd lost last year until someone else commented they couldn't even lose that much, and that shifted my perspective a little. I went from feeling bad about the small amount to feeling good because it was still progress. Look how far you've come and what you've already achieved, and be proud and let it help motivate you.

Thank you so much. Its hard to not want to just give up when all the hard work doesn't really seem like its making any bit of difference. The last few days have been emotionally difficult because of this, but I am trying to reboot every morning. Thanks for your words of encouragement

Hi! I'd like to join in with you all, if that's alright? I'm 35 and currently doing keto and IF (16:8). So far, it's been good! A little tough here and there since I eat out so much but I'm trying to cook more. It's freezing where I live so I'm going a bit stir crazy with the lack of being able to go outside. I've been doing 30 to 45 minutes a day in the gym and hopefully, I can kick the 140s before long. Here's to hoping!

I've been indulging, so I haven't been losing as much as I could. I really should be taking better advantage of these first few months of breastfeeding, it's always been the easiest time for me to lose weight. I need a good kick in the butt!

Well that's mee meeting my goal for January. Although a revised one, I originally hoped to reach 107 but I eventually settled on 108. It's 3,5 kg lost (7.7 pounds) lost. I hope to be losing 3 kgs every month until June (to meet my birthday goal), but you know, every pound lost is a pound lost, no matter how slow the weightloss is going, at least it's the right direction. I'm prepared to not be discouaraged if I don't meet my goal. If it doesn't happen in June, it will happen in August, it's not all that important as long as I'm actually getting closer and closer to healthy weight!
