Default Finger's Swelling

Does this happen to anyone else when running/jogging/walking?

This has been happening to me since I did some detox a couple of years ago....so I was thinking it was related to that....adrenals or thyroid...or weak heart/kidneys....not sure.

whatever it is...I think I just need to ignore it and keep working.

Thoughts?

This has always happened to me after exercising. I get some mild swelling whenever I'm hot (and exercise makes me hot) so I've always chalked it up to that. I could very well be wrong though!

Maybe something to ask your doctor about at your next appointment if you're worried?

Happens to me in the heat. During the winter, my fingers are fine; every summer though my fingers swell up while walking or exercising. Usually if I drink enough water, they go back to normal.

I believe if you swing your arms down by your waist when you walk or run it you get swelling cause of excess blood there from the swinging. Try to keep hands and arms higher power walking style and see if there is a change.

I solve this by looking like an idiot, but putting my hands up above my heart and squeezing my hands into fists repeatedly to force the blood to quit pooling in my fingers.

I had the same problem when I started exercising a few weeks ago. But it has since disppeared. I think I fixed it with drinking lots of water and eating less sodium. Or maybe my body just got used to exercising?
