Yup got the little bounce up I expected...but still a loss to put me at 172.5 - I'll take it

Have a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it, and have a great week to all

I finally lost a pound after a month of no progress. I hope this is a sign that my stall is over and I can continue towards my goal. I'm so glad I hit 177 before the year ended. That's the 50 lb mark.

First post for the year. I'd love to be back here. Maybe in February.
Currently 181.

Seems like this thread is a more active than the 180's so maybe I can join early? I was 182.6 on the scale this morning but am on a very low calorie doctor-supervised diet so will hopefully be here "officially" in 1-2 weeks

Hi everybody, here I am back on the boards after 2 years. 2 years ago I was on the 20-somethings forum, lost alot of weight - was down to from 163lb to 142lb. Here I am even bigger that ever before, I blame the contraceptive injection depo provera. My doctor changed me to Triphasil last week so I am hoping I can shift all this extra weight gained.

I am ready for change, got an eating plan, planning to walk/run 3-5 times a week for a few weeks before going back to gym.

I am currently 177lb, my first mini goal is 166lb. My non-weight goal is to run the JP Morgan 5,6km race is less than 60 minutes on 26 March 2015.

As I have been through this before, I know this will be a challenge and there will be struggles but I am ready to change.

Looking forward to us supporting each other until we reach our goals

I went to my first spin class in many years today. It was at one of the newer trendy places called Flywheel.

I did pretty well - I made it through. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, so maybe that means I wasn't trying hard enough. I'm going to go back and maybe even get a membership. The best part is that it measures how much power you put into the class so you can compare yourself to how you've done in the past.

I haven't started any exercise yet just trying to get my diet on track first this month. I feel like too many changes all at once will overwhelm me. I haven't had junk food for the past 3 days which is major progress as I have been eating either KFC, McD, Burger King and Salon Sausage everyday for dinner for the past few weeks *bad I know*. I goal is no junk food the entire week so what I have been doing is to prepare the next days meals the day before. So far so good, so I guess planning and preparation of meals is key...

Oh man has this been a trying time for me with losing weight. Just wanted to update everyone. I started going back to the gym lots of cardio and still counting my calories and have gained 4 pounds and no inches lost!? I just don't understand where I am going wrong. I won't give up, but after a months of being so dedicated this is a hard blow to my hope.

I have played with my calorie intake, mixed up some strength with cardio...I just can't figure it out. It used to be so easy for me to count my calories and work hard at the gym to lose weight...Grrr! Any tips on what works for you being over 30 (having multiple children) and losing weight is greatly appreciated! XXXXX

I hit the 170s pretty soon after giving birth in January, and have been stuck here. Hoping to get into the 160s in April!
