Unhappy Nachos, soft pretzels, funnel cakes, ice cream...oh my!

I am at White Water (a water park) with my boys trying to diet. How crazy is that? Everyone around me is enjoying junk food. I am struggling to find the willpower to not buy crap and eat it right now. I know if I had a funnel cake, my stomach would feel awful from all the grease. So that's not much temptation, but the nachos with cheese and jalapeņo looks so good. So does the ice cream cone. How do you stay on track at places like this? How do you vacation and diet? Any help would be much appreciated.

I try to find someone to share it with! I find that if I restrict too much, I act out and stuff my face!

I resisted. Got home and had a grilled chicken salad. Plus I had some mini dark chocolate Milanos. So good! Worth waiting for something that I could control the calories. Thanks ladies!

Holliee, you are right! I need to repeat that quote in my head.

Mama great job! My own personal quote I try to remember in certain situations: "Sometimes instant gratification leads to long term regrets."

Candis, that's another great one. Long term regrets are right. Summer is so hard for me. I want to eat everything in sight, but I also want to wear a bikini next summer. I know I can do it this time. This site is a great place for support.
