Coffeshop girl I wish you loads of luck and I am going to try and commit to do the same things. Okay no eating after dinner for me! Period. I think the thing that resonates with me that I read on her is cheating is cheating yourself. If only I could get that through my thick skull! What in the world is wrong with me! I just have to do! Geez!

Curly you don't have to promise to. Come back with more positivity. I look at this board as a way to express our feelings and if you are feeling negative well doggone it express it because that kind of stuff resonates with us too and then we can get on here and give you encouraging words like... You are doing great. Withh all the stress that you are under you still managed to work out and eat too FEW CALORIES!!! Great job. It could have easily gone the wrong way! You're doing great so keep up the good work!!!

I am also right there with you. On the 17th I was 196.7 and today I'm 199.1. It's not my monthly visitor. I haven't been eating a heck of a lot and I've exercised everyday this past week with no day off. And on Saturday I worked out twice. I'm in pain right now because my body is so worn out.

And now the scale is telling me that I'm up almost 3 lbs in 4 days? I weighed myself using the sophisticated settings on my scale and it said that I have 2 additional pounds of fat. It stated that my water percentage had gone down and my bone mass had not changed. So yeah, I weigh more today because of extra fat. Disappointing... And I went spinning yesterday! I hate spinning AND Sunday is supposed to be my day off from exercise. Totally not worth it...

I'm just going to try to drink a lot of water today.

It sure can be frustrating I have heard in the past that with all the hard work, the scale may go UP before it goes down....not sure how really but been told that. Sounds like you are doing all that you can do

Ladies, this same thing happened to me, and then two days later, I was two pounds less than my original loss. I think that we are over obsessing over every little ounce. I am done with that mess. I am doing what I know and have seen works, and weighing myself once a week. My hair was starting to fall out. I think our bodies are gonna do what they do.....and as long as we continue on our row that we are hoeing, the weight will fall away!

Congrats concminus40!!

So, I've been trying like crazy to get back on track. Well, it's just not happening and I'm trying to figure out why.

I guess I should say it's just not happening yet. Oh, and I'm impatient with myself.

I get it - my TOM was rough this month, I caught a cold, and I'm coming down from 2 months of the bad-for-me-foods. It's the last one, or maybe all of them at once, that was stressing me out. And, it's just amazing how much stress effects my weight loss/gain. Last weekend, I really didn't get to rest; it was all errands, errands, cleaning, errands. Monday was more cleaning, lol. I'm still blaming the holidays, lol.

I've written a few motivational posts, but I'm still eating everything in sight. I'm just not ready this week. I think it's been a lack of sleep. How frustrating.

Tonight I ate Chinese food with the husband. Because the week has been busy and I didn't feel like cooking (whomever gets home from work/class first usually gets dinner going) tonight. The point is, I didn't feel ashamed. I'm tired of being down and getting depressed over my lack of patience.

Sometimes you just gotta ride out the stress.

I have a good feeling about this weekend - I get to sleep in! A minimal cleaning and one trip to the grocery store. And, perhaps I got all my binges out of my system for a while.

Anyways, wish me luck everyone! I know this post was a collection of stress and hopefulness for the weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Man that Chinese sounds good! What kind did you eat? I totally know how you feel. You know how folks say "whoo this will drive you to drink" when their talking about a stressful situation? Well for me it "whoo this will drive me to Popeyes!" It's like when your stressed about everything else, why should you have to stress over what you are eating or have to feel bad about your choice to feed yourself. That is the part that gets me. I have to eat to survive and yet I want to enjoy the food that I eat without the shame that comes with it. Now don't eat me wrong. I like healthy food. I really do. However it has NOTHING ON POPEYES, Pizza Hut, lasagna, homemade Mac and cheese... I have gone on a complete random tirade and I apoligize. Anyways you are doing great because you are staying contiontious of your choices and you are being positive. A positive attitude with will take you far. Keep up the good work. You are going to have a great weekend and keep us posted!
