Calorie Counting, Low Carb, WW...What are you doing??
Hi! I just want to get an idea of what approach most of you are taking. In the past, I did calorie counting and was successful; however, this time around I am will be doing Atkins mostly because I have PCOS and this diet makes the most sense for me now.

I have done WW in the past. I am sort of following it again (the old way) - but not really. Basically at this point I just know how much food I should be eating in a day and following a specific structure, ie: same breakfast everyday, fruit for a snack, a lunch that I know is about 6 pts, a snack/dessert that I know is around 2-3 points, Dinner that I know is anywhere from 6-10 pts, dessert around 2-3. Brings me up to approx. 23-26 points. When I used to follow WW my alloted amount was 18-25 pts a day or 18 (with the 35 flex pts). But I noticed with my body that I loose more when I eat around the higher end - it doesn't like when I am too low. I drink a lot of water, cut out diet pop (mostly just drink tea and water).
If I am not tied to a specific program I am able to deviate a little and not be too hard on myself. If I am bad one day I sort of detox with a lot of water the next.
So far it is working - but not be as quick as I would like (but that might also have to do with my size, one pound is just under 1% of my body weight so I really SHOULDN'T loose too quickly if I want it to stick).

Another calorie counter here. I also use livestrong.com to track my calories, plus I sometimes keep a spreadsheet. Yeah, it's redudant, but I like to see months at a time.
