New

I am new here so let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 33 with three kids and I have a disc disease. I am finding it very difficult to workout without hurting myself I also need someone to be accountable to for what goes in my mouth. I was at my goal weight last year in November and then I hurt my back and was on Prednisone and became very depressed and gained all the weight back. I was doing Jillian Michael's but I am finding now that it hurts me a lot to do such a hard workout. I am looking for someone to get me motivated again. I keep saying this is it. I feel awful about myself and I am at least 15 pounds overweight. :( Any advice would be great. I am hoping this will get me motivated!! I have a problem with over eating. I obsess about food and I feed my emotions with food. Help!!!!

I too am a emotional eater, bored eater, heck I like to eat. I have been on the Atkins Diet for 3 weeks and have lost 7 pounds, I have had a couple of rough weekends so I have been stalled for a week now. I have got back at it this week.
I suggest Zumba if you have not tried it yet. I was having terrible lower back pain and I found out that I have a compressed discs. I have been doing Zumba and it does not seem to cause me any more pain than normal. I have been doing Zumba 5-6 days a week and the dvds are about 45 minutes long and if you want a full 60 min. you can add in the ab workout.
I too have a hard time finding the support that I need to lose this weight. I have a husband that can lose weight easily and two growing boys that need to eat. This makes it hard not to eat the way that they all do.
Please do not feel awful about yourself I have learned that I will gain and lose and gain but, this time I hope it will be a loss for good. I know that you too can lose that stubborn 15 pounds. Good Luck!

I had to give up the gym, because of an injury ( not caused at the gym) , I have to restrict my exercise to walking. Walking is a great exercise and will help in your weight loss efforts.
