Question Going to a picnic, on WW, not sure what to bring that's healthy

Hey chickies...

I am going to a picnic in a week with this new guy that I am getting to know and meeting his family - yikes, nerves. I would like to bring something but don't know what to bring that would be healthy and that everyone would enjoy. My therapist suggested dessert but I can't think of an easy dessert that is healthy that everyone would enjoy. I don't cook much, and I don't know what would be good.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

There are tons of WW friendly recipes on the net if you search, for example at work my supervisor had a great recipe for a carrot slaw with raisins as well as a berry, whipped cream & angel food layered cake that were all low in points. She also made some muffins, I forget all the kinds but I do remember one being a carrot cake muffin that was like 4 or so points alone and if you put the optional glaze/frosting it was 5 or 6 points total. It was a good size muffin too.

Worst comes to worst, you could slice some strawberries and then bring along some lower calorie whipped topping and those little angel food cakes they sell at the store so people can put together their own strawberry shortcakes. That way, if you don't have enough points for the cake included you can still have yummy berries and cream (a great Summer dessert IMO).

You could always bring veggies and (low calorie) dip and if you think this would look too healthy for the other people, you could always make it an appetizer plate and add cheese and crackers, etc, but then you only eat the veggies and dip.

Try looking on ginasskinnyrecipes.com for some ideas. She has beautiful food that is pretty easy to make and she posts all the info including the points+ values. I have made a bunch of stuff from her site and it is always delicious.
