I hear ya! I've been dancing around 190 so long that I think its going to propose! I am soooo ready to be out of the 190s!! My clothes are fitting differently and I have ramped up my exercise and nadda. Hopefully my woosh is coming soon!

What is it with being just on the other side of a milestone that it seems to h-a-n-g a-r-o-u-n-d and not leave! I was so excited to see the 1--s but I'm over it. Yes, it was great, but now its not enough. I have put in the work to see 180s.

Okay, vent over, thanks! We'll do this! It's just a matter of time!

I was looking for one too! I'm smack in the middle of the 190's and had a rough day... movie day with friends with food out for two meals. rrgh.
It's so much easier to keep on top of things on the days my husband works. He is sympathetic, but really doesn't understand.

I am going to lose 2 lbs this week by keeping my calories under 1800 and burning 2800+ cals a day!!

I hear you NicoleJoy, I keep bouncing the same .7 pounds up and down. My goal is to be in the mid 180's by the end of the month... that's 18 days away now.
I'm going to try to head over to the gym tonight and take the Zumba class they offer and I need to get off my butt and start the running program I've been looking at. As a lifetime running hater I don't have a lot of faith it will be pleasant, but I really admire the bodies of people who run.

How are you burning 2800 cal a day? What works for you?

Annie!! That's awesome!! I stepped on the scale this morning and was at 190, which made me SOOO happy!! Hopefully by my official weigh in next week I will be at 189! Then we can all join the 180's thread!!

JayMar, how are you liking Zumba? I'm using a BodyBugg (like they wear on the biggest loser) and it tells me I burn about 1800 cals a day if I sit around all day. I can usually hit 2800 with one good 30-45 minute work out (walk-running for me), as well as staying on my feet. I would LOVE to start running!! I hate it but runners seem so HOT!! What running program are you following?

Grrr, okay I'm joining this thread. I'm also part of dive under 185 but that seems to be a lifelong membership. Hopefully I can leave this thread in no time! (Sorry, not to offend anyone, but I bet you all understand).

Umm.. well... I missed Zumba last night due to a family thing. Luckily a family thing that didn't involve food. The next class is on Tuesday, so I'll find out then!
For running I am using the daily e-mail from about.com "3 weeks to a 30 minute running habit". I can't post links yet, but it will come up right away on google.
So far it's going ok... I still hate running, but with this program I don't feel like I have to be running a mile on the first day.

Annie! way to go!
Amy ~ Let's face it, none of us want to
be on this part of the forum... I know I want to be in the maintainers side!

Thanks for the tip- I signed up for the "3 weeks" e-mail. I want to look like one of those sexy b*tches that run around my neighborhood in their black running gear, sunglasses and ponytails!!! hahaha.

Grins! You'll get there!

I also found a podcast called Podcasts for Running and I loaded it up on my ipod and headed for the local middle school track. It sets out the intervals for you and has upbeat music and encouragement on it. I was really excited that I stuck through the entire thing (something I can never seem to do on a treadmill) and... I was down an entire pound the next day!
I'm on a two day rest to let my blisters heal (darn cheap shoes) and then I will be back out on the track tomorrow night, because apparently... this works!

That is so awesome! What shoes are you using? I treated myself to a pair of running shoes and they are the best ever- Asics Kayanos. They are good for wide, wobbly feet. I visited a running store that does that free foot scan thingie and will tell you if you pronate, etc.- so fun, I highly recommend! My running store has a weekly fun run for every level, but I need to make sure I can run at least a mile before I can join...

I've had a crazy last few days and haven't gotten any exercise in aside from my stretching for flexibility. I went to Lady Footlocker today and got fitted for shoes, I ended up getting a pair of Ryka's and the best news is, when I'm walking in them I can't feel the healing blister. We will see how it goes in a bit when I head out to run.
On the plus side, I've managed to maintain the last three days, I'm at 191.6 (so close!) and not gain.

OK.. out the door I go before I talk myself out of this!

Hi all! I am new to the site and was wondering if I could join you guys. I am unfortunatley hanging out in the 190's and can't seem to stay motivated long enough to drop below them. You all sound like you are doing great. Keep up the good work!!
