****30 something december chat****
Good morning friends its DECEMBER the last month of the year so lets make it count
Today I wi at 223.4 my goal is to make 217 my halfway mark to goal. Lets make our december goals together!!!!
It would be great it we could get more people on the 30 board to chat more often we want to hear from you all, share your ups and downs or whatever it is you want to share.

Its December. I've been away from this site for a few months having lost motivation. But I am back!! WOO!! I plan on staying around this time-- I do love this place.

Matilda, I'm waiting to see you on my thead  ! Keep going!
Hope everyone is having a great week. Do you have any plans on how you will avoid the holiday weight gain?
As for me, I'm only going to my parents Christmas day, and I'll eat in moderation, but otherwise I don't buy junk and I'll just eat normally around the holidays. I live on my own, so I don't have to worry too much about having too much food around. I just hope no one buys me chocolates for Christmas.

Thanks jojo. Actually I don't really have to worry about the holidays. I don't go to any holiday parties-- and for some reason, I've hit a "gain weight" plateau, sort of opposite of the "losing weight" plateau that so many people hit-- no matter how badly I eat/don't exercise, I don't gain weight. Maybe this is because when I gained all my weight it was due to medication?? Who knows.
Anyway, thanks for the welcoming!

Hi Everybody! I am here for the month. I ended November poorly, but starting strong this month. I am looking to be under 250 on January 1, so I am committed. Thanks for starting this thread! I am also starting the c25k program today! I figure the more people i tell, the harder it will be for me to quit! Have a great day everyone!

Hi ladies! Pardon my typos im doing this via my phone. Im still here and doing great. Since I've given myself the challenge to lose 8-10lbs by year end, I've already lost 3lbs!!black friday was 189.8 this a.m. 186.8!!!! Go me!!!

I would love to join your thread... I found the end of November very draining, and my motivation went OUT the windwo! But a new month means a new start, so I would love to be at my hal way mark by January 1. I have a couple of ways I am going to work on achieving this, I am upping my strength training from 2 to 3 times a week, and I am not going to any party hungry.. eating in moderation, as Jojo said is the key for me.
Great job everyone for committing to yourselves to be healthier!!!

Hey again everyone.. thanks for the welcome. I also didn't end November very well but I'm making a serious commitment for December. I recently got back in touch with a friend of mine and she seems to want me to run a half marathon with her next summer. Yikes! Am I ever going to have a LOT of work to do!
My plan for December is moderation in all things but exercise!

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all. I am looking forward to losing this holiday season. I managed to make it through Thanksgiving unscathed and November turned out to be a great month for me! Finally started a Pilates class at the local arts center though I haven't been keeping up on my walking.
JoJo- I have a client that always buys me chocolates, luckily they are the cream filled ones that I find super gross. Normally the office has treat day in December but thankfully that was overlooked this year.

So we bought ice cream last night. That in and of itself isn't bad (everyone is entitled to a treat every now and again). I used to be able to have it every once in awhile without going overboard-- but that was after I went without sweets for a couple of months. So I've had A BUNCH of ice cream today!
So I think I need to start retraining my thinking again.
