With more than 60lbs lost, I can finally start to see real changes everywhere. Before, it was mainly a decrease in shoe sizes and my wrists that I noticed. I am about to go down another pants size which will make it 8" I've lost from my waist from my biggest. Up until this point, I could tell I was losing weight from how loose my clothes have been and moving down quite a few clothing sizes, but i couldn't see it in the mirror. It's like I have blinders that only allowed me to focus on my fat and not the difference between before and now. Then a few days ago, I took a picture of me in front of the computer (which is now my avatar) and wow! I can really start to see a difference. I still can't see much of it in the mirror, but in pictures I can see a huge difference. One of the things I think have contributed to me being able to see real differences is I started lifting weights again. I can now see some of my muscles moving below my skin again. Especially in my shoulders, arms, and chest. It's been a VERY long time since I have seen that. When I go clothes shopping again in a few weeks, I will be wearing the same size clothes I wore as a Sophomore in High School! Right now I am wearing the same sizes I wore as a Senior.
I can't express how much I am looking forward to seeing myself in the mirror next Spring when I should hit my target weight. To swim in the lake without being the fat guy wearing a T-shirt using the excuse "I have to wear a shirt in the sun or I burn too badly."
I was just feeling rather proud of myself today and wanted to share it with ya'll. I have to quit typing now. I think my arms are going to fall off soon from lifting weights a bit ago
Congrats on you loss so far! I always had trouble seeing weight loss in the mirror (when I lost this weight the 1st time) It was always in pictures that I was pleasantly surprised with my "new" shape. I wish you all the best as you continue on this journey.
Goals:
Get back into a size 12 (currently size 18/20)
Be able to run/jump again
Eat healthier
Improve overall health
Exercise
Get out of the "Obese" BMI category
I, myself, have struggled to see it this week. Mom's vacation time share has a full wall of mirror and there is no way to escape it. I just would rather not be in front of the mirror all the time.

Congratulations!!! It's so motivating once you finally begin to see the hard work paying off.
I know I haven't noticed a change in myself yet even though friends and family have been commenting. I'm still waiting for my A-ha moment.....
I bought those new clothes yesterday
I am officially down 8" in the waist and down 4 shirt sizes. These are the same size clothes I wore as a sophomore in high school. I can't wait for October when I am going to buy my next outfit as a reward. I am just coming off a super long plateau. I think lifting weights really kicked my weight loss back into gear.
