Question "Girl Power" movies?

Hi All:

I'm looking for entertainment options. I'm not sure if "girl power" is the right way to describe but I'm looking for films that depict strong women -- physically or emotionally/mentally. Nothing too heavy though (i.e., I need entertainment, not thought provoking).

***I am NOT looking for films that objectify the female body.***

(REVISED LIST FROM SUGGESTIONS):

1. Terminator 2 (the chin-ups and back muscles scene)
2. G.I. Jane
3. Hope Floats
4. Ice Castles
5. Brokedown Palace
6. In Her Shoes
7. 28 Days
8. Riding in Cars with Boys
9. Sex and the City
10. Steel Magnolias
11. Flicka
12. National Velvet
13. Norma Rae
14. Charlie's Angels
15. Enough
16. Title unknown with Helen Slater (1980s): Legend of Billie Jean
17. Aliens
18. Fried Green Tomatoes
19. Bend It Like Beckham
20. Thelma & Louise
21. Practical Magic
22. Mona Lisa Smile
23. Real Women Have Curves
24. Mamma Mia
25. Evita
26. Dirty Dancing
27. Whip it
28. First Wives Club
29. Million Dollar Baby
30. Girlfight
31. Girltown
32. Buffy Vampire Slayer
33. Mr. and Mrs. Smith
34. Tomb Raider
35. Foxfire
36. Mulan
37. Kill Bill (V1: 2003, V2: 2004)
38. The Women (1939)
39. Sin City (2005)
40. Carolina (2003)
41. Barbarella (1968)
42. Moulin Rouge! (2001)
43. Josie and the kittycats (2001)
44. Prey for Rock & Roll (2003)
45. Frida
46. Shakespeare in love
47. Stepford wives (2004 version!)
48. Marie Antoinette

What else?

Thanks,
B.

G.I. Jane was the first that came to mind, but you have that one.

How about Enough.. isn't that the one with J.Lo? She learns how to defend herself. Or Aliens when Sigourney Weaver takes care of the bad guys?

Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but here are some of my favorite inspiring (or just plain it's-fun-to-be-a-girl), female lead movies:

Hope Floats
Ice Castles
Brokedown Palace
In Her Shoes
28 Days
Riding in Cars with Boys
Sex and the City
Steel Magnolias
Flicka
National Velvet
Norma Rae
Charlie's Angels

I googled it and I think it's the Legend of Billie Jean.

I'm sorry, all I could think of was that disaster "Spice World" when I saw the title of this thread

I would have to agree with anything about Sarah Conner!

Too funny that we would both post this movie at the same time. It seems like whenever I mention this movie, I get a lot of blank looks. Nice to know it made someone else's favorites list.
