Kill Bill (V1: 2003, V2: 2004) always makes me feel empowered! Probably my favorite movie ever.

The Women (1939) was really good. They remade it but I haven't seen it and don't intend to. The new cast is LAME.

Sin City (2005) is another one that's pretty cool.

Carolina (2003) was really good. Julia Stiles and Shirley MacLaine. I love Shirley MacLaine.

Barbarella (1968) I heard they're remaking this!!! I'm so excited.

And Moulin Rouge! (2001) is super sexy and awesome, but not for everyone.

I don't know. I guess I'm weird. I like when women really celebrate all the great things about being a woman. To me there is nothing more empowering than a woman in knee-boots and a sexy outfit with great hair that can cook well and wield a sword. Now that's HOT.

Truthfully, I'm not into chick flicks, even with a woman as the heroine. I find they (the movies) are way too contrived and they (the woman) are too artificial. Goes to show you how often I get out to the theatres! The only chick flick that would inspire me would be GI Jane and that's because I loved the SEAL training scenes (Viggo Mortensen is HAWT ) and want to be that fit.

However, I have knee high boots (okay, so they're Chuck Taylor's), a sexy outfit (it's a tshirt that says "I eat brains... You're safe" and a pair of jeans), can wield a sword with pretty good accuracy, great hair (when my stylist does something with it) and I can cook really well.

Awesome. It's kick@$$ when you're a real-life hero!

I thought of a couple of movies where the chicks wield guitars instead of swords.

Josie and the kittycats (2001) was a cute movie. I watched that the other day. Tara Reid was Melody and she was hilarious.

LOL! The auto-edit changed it from Pu$$ycats!!! That's hilarious. What? Are we five?

Prey for Rock & Roll (2003) is with Gina Gershon and Drea de Matteo. It really had me rooting for them.

It might seem like a weird Suggestion, but Like Water for Chocolate if you don't mind reading subtitles. Its based on the book by Laura Esquivel.

There is this great little known movie with Ashely Judd that came out in the early 90s called Ruby in Paradise...It's not a big hollywood flick...but has a really great story about a young woman finding her self and finding her strength and voice.
