Default New here, trying to lose not quite 100

Hi everyone, I'm 31, 5'2" and weigh somewhere between 205 and 210 pounds. I'm trying to get down to between 115 and 120.

I live in north Texas, I'm happily married, work full time, have a toddler who is almost 18 months old, and I went to the gym 4-5 days a week for 45 min. of cardio until the holidays and haven't been since before Thanksgiving. I've thought about quitting the gym since I haven't been and it's very expensive, but I think I'm going to go back as soon as this afternoon if at all possible.

I've lost 60 pounds before through Weight Watchers - went from 220 to 160 in 2007, but life has happened since then. Can't go back to Weight Watchers right now because I don't have anyone to watch my daughter during the meetings, but I think I can do this on my own (with some helpful internet support!)

I hope that I can meet some people going through the same thing here.

Howdy again! I just replied to you in another thread I'm a newbie also but already I am surprised how welcoming and supportive everyone is!

I live 30 miles from a gym. If you decided to let it lapse there are so many great programs you can do at home. Here is to a successful 2010!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I think I will do some of the weight training at home to start with hand weights because I don't have a whole lot of time to spend in the gym and I can't commit to 45 minutes of cardio without stopping at home because of the interruptions.

My main challenges to weight loss are my impulse control and bad habits of stopping to get fast food in the mornings before work since I wake up at 5:25 to silently slip out of the house by 5:40 so as not to wake anyone else up. Also my husband loves the bad food too much and always gets sweets, and it's hard to resist.

Hello and

It is terribly hard to change. I, too, have lost before, have a hubby that loves the sweets and junk, and no time! We have 4 children ages 11yrs to 7mo and I home school. I understand about not getting 45 minutes in a row to exercise.

Before the baby I used to get up before work and exercise. But now I have started working out after the kids go to bed at night at 8pm. DH gets home about 7:30, so that works for now.

I'm sure you will think of something - we women are very inventive!
