I'm the newbie

Hello,

I am the newbie...been overweight for 10years now.:moo: Sick of being the fat funny single friend....it's time to be the hot friend :flame: that gets noticed. but mostly, I want to just be happy with myself, full of self confidence in any situation. I have to do this for me, I deserve this..time to put me first.
What plans do you love? I need help!
Have started some home videos;30day shred and yoga to start.
Open for suggestions.....
Thanks,
Heather

Welcome! :)

I've tried a lot of different plans over the years. I'm doing Atkins right now with good success. But I really feel that it's such a personal journey that what works for one person may not work for you. It takes a while, but keep looking & I'm sure you'll find your fit.

I've heard 30 Day shred really does shred!! Good luck! :)

Welcome Me1st! Congrats on making a change for yourself.

My plan has recently changed from a medically supervised plan to a low carb plan. You have to find the plan that's right for you. It should be something you can stick with.

Good luck!

Hi Heather and :wel3fc:

You will find your niche. It just takes some time. But remember don't get frustrated and quit if something doesn't work for you. I am still looking for what works for me but in the mean time I am just watching what I eat, making better choices, and started exercising at home. You can do it!

Welcome to the group, I am following the slim fast online plan, it's helping me a lot with portion control and such. Good luck on your journey.

Whats working for me... healthy mini meals with foods I like, working out with a trainer and setting fitness goals (ultimately want to be a runner). Also, I love "The Firm" program for working out at home. Learning how healthy people eat has helped structure what I'm doing like having a bowl of oatmeal in the morning instead of my previous "lean pocket". It's a transition that won't happen all at once. What a fun journey though.

Oh, and working at keeping a steady blood sugar so there isn't any peak highs or lows which will incite hunger and boredom eating.
