Go Gators is right! SO excited!! So long, Sooners! HA!
Doing well today, but I've found that I have no problem doing well for my morning and afternoon meals and snacks. It's the evening meal that kills me. Proportion is my Achilles' heel. I'm going to try eating off a smaller plate. I've been watching Discovery Health's National Body Challenge and am inspired by it!

Pear... you know I am always open to someone chiming in!! LOL You only made it better... besides I forgot about the water.

The best way to know how much water you should be drinking is to take your weught, divide it by two and what ever that number is is how much water you should drink in ounces. So a 200 pound person should drink at least 100 ounces a day... easy squeazy!!

I think that the most important thing about meal plans is to take it one meal at a time. If you want to go out, do it but try to make healthier choices and still only eat the right amount... bring the rest home or leave it on the plate. But truly, I feel that if you make a bad choice or eat too much, remember that one meal didn't make you fat and one meal or bad choice won't make you fail. It's not the bad choice that makes us fail, it's our failure to allow ourselves a slip up or two or GOD FORBID... to treat ourselves. Let's face it, I'm one of those people who will have to eat healthy for my entire life because I have food issues but I still want to have an ice cream now and then. To believe that you'll never eat ice cream again is unrealistic and it's not being fair to yourself.

You'll see... each day gets easier until you just automatically make better choices without giving it much thought.

RC... I always get crabby when I sleep too much. Get up and moving girl!! You know I love ya!!! LOL

Thanks for the posts on eating to lose weight. Very well stated.

Today has been nice. I've not over stepped my boundries for eating and even went out to lunch with a friend, had salad with grilled chicken, dressing on the side. I am sure that it helped that the friend I went out with is very fit and health concious.

I have dinner for tonight planned out and kids and husband will be eating the same foods that I do so it shouldn't be a problem there.

I did a short workout for the first time in about a year and a half on Tuesday night, took last night off, but am going to work out again tonight. I can't believe that I actually did a workout at all, I am very proud of ME!

Have a good evening everyone and stay positive.

Jo

Yeah, I think this is just one of my "challenge" weeks, where everything seems harder and I'm just not feeling motivated. Need to push through this though. As always, I thank you all for your support. I love this place.

Thank you for all of the positive posts. I had a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unfortunately, I gobbled a whole bunch of cookies before dinner. I do weight watchers and so I just added in the points. It made me go over, but oh well. It's done.

I am leaving tomorrow for a conference. I am a little excited to sleep in a hotel without anybody else. I usually have a husband, a dog, a cat and at least one child in bed at various times of the night. I am so excited about a whole bed to myself.
