Gut issue...help!
 

I have a problem...I am going to a party on Friday and I'm having a gut problem. I bought this http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/wome...ntrol+Slip.jsp and then I bought my dress which is form fitting (comes a few inches above my knee - really cute on me since I'm 25lbs lighter :carrot:) and still my gut is on the loose. I don't have a big gut, it's actually teeny but it throws off my look. It looks like i have a tiny pouch in the front. I bought the shaper last Friday and I spent a good amount of time in Kohl's trying to figure out which shaper one was for me and I checked out most of them. I didn't want to get the top or the bottom because they ride up or ride down. I find that my shaper also rides up and I"m wearing my size. It's not too small.

Help! What should I do??? :?:

Go buy a pair of Spanx to wear under the other shaper -- you will be so shaped, you probably won't be able to breathe, but the Spanx will tame the tummy, and the outer shaper should make the line from the top of the Spanx disappear. If you are worried take dress and shaper with you to try on the Spanx. Get the high kind of Spanx, by the way, not the kind that comes to your waist--the kind that comes to under your breasts. Or, maybe even better, try to find the kind of shaper that looks like a bodysuit with shorts attached. Some sites call them Singlets-- they cannot ride up. THey are, however, hard to find. I bought mine at Nordstrom I think. The regular bodysuits that do not go down the thigh (They look like one piece bathing suits) I do not like because of the top of the thigh bulge thing going on.

You know what? I went to two Macy's over here and none carried Spanx like the Spanix website said. I cannot find Spanx. :( Kim Kardashian wears it and she says it's the best thing that's ever happened to her.

Have you tried Lane Bryant? I saw a sign outside of one in my mall that mentioned they carried Spanx.

OK I'll try Lane Bryant and Nordstrom. My brother works for Nordstrom maybe I can even get a discount of some kind. Thanks ladies!!!!

I'm going to jump on the band wagon here. If you can find them, buy Spanx.

I don't care for the Flexees brand. They barely smooth anything and they ride up like crazy, or in the case of the one I have, they slide down (body suit type.) So annoying!

Was wondering if you had any luck getting what you needed?

Sorry for the delay but I just got finished moving from my old place to my new place. I ended up taking the Flexee back. My boyfriend decided not to go to the party because our vehicle arrangements fell through or something like that - whatever. Blah. That means that I didn't go looking for Spanx. I don't know what's going on with him...but at least I don't have to run around looking for anything anymore.
