Hi Moobunny:

My husband and I both got let go within two months of each other, having withstood 9 months of them trying to force us to quit without having to pay a severance/settlement. I won't pretend that it's been easy, and we're still trying to figure out how to make up for him being out of work for 9 months and me for 2, but we are still here! One piece of advice is to not panic -- don't trap yourself in an impossibly low budget, but also don't spend like there's no tomorrow. Make a budget and stick with it -- I know, easier said than done!!! And most important, think about what you really, really want in a job. My husband took much longer to find new work and is finally happy and respected and an invaluable member of his team. I took work because we needed it...I'm not necessarily unhappy, but I'm thinking I may need to reevaluate as soon as we're out of debt

Take care of yourself -- try as hard as you can not to let this loss affect your self image! You are worthy!
