Hello everyone. I just joined the board and your post was the first one I went to. Things happen for a reason so I am in. I will try to get one of those cool goal scale things many of you have. But until then, my starting weight is 189. I'll go for......12 lbs! I need something to think about other than work! So, hello to everyone. I hope I have found a fun, supportive place to be!

Hi, I would like to join in the challenge. I have joined in on a challenge before but never made it through. I also joined the You: On a diet page (I went back to calorie counting with some Dr. Oz influence). I have a hard time logging in consistently, I hope the third time will work
I would like to lose 15 pounds by Memorial Day. -- no more thunder thighs for me!!!

thanks,

This challenge is a great idea. I just started trying to eat better and excerise. I have a long way to go but mini goals might work best. So I'll say 15lbs.

Default Small Goal

Hi Everyone!

Phew...what a weekend...I'll post on the daily as soon as I can. Since my meds aren't regulated and I'm not sure how the weight loss is going to go w/them upped.... I will up the pot to 5 pounds. I may start losing like crazy in a few weeks and all the better, but I'd best stick to something realistic. I'll report in tomorrow w/a starting weight.....since I didn't weigh myself this morning.

Hi to all the new 30 somethings joining in the challenge!!!!

Love, Melinda

Sounds great. I'm in! I've been having little bits of success and am ready for a challenge. I'm putting my goal in my signature so it will always be there for me to look at.

I may need to lean on you guys a bit to get me to this goal.

Ok I'm in - I just started today - am going to start weight watchers and have set myself a goal to do a 5 K run in July. There a couple of beginner running programs out there... My birthday is on May 20th and my husband graduates on the same day. I would love to look 15 lbs slimmer by then. Let's do it together !

Default Memorial Day Goal

I'll jump in. I think it sounds fun. Will you set the goal for all or will it be a personal goal. Today is my first day and I would like to set a small goal for myself. This seems like a great way to start.

My goal for today is to not eat anything that makes me feel guilty and to exercise a bit. (a bit is more than I usually get so I will shoot for a BIT)haha

Hi everyone. I'm new to the 30-somethings and really looking forward to a new challenge. I have been trying to eat healthy and exercise for 2 months now. I've had some success but recently I noticed that my weight hasn't changed much. I could really use a boost to get me going again! My Memorial Day goal is to lose 15lbs.

Wow, I am so glad we are all gonna give it a try. I hope we can keep this going for each holiday-4th of July, Labor Day, etc... keeps you focused on the short term and not the big scary picture if you have as much to lose as I do!!

I havent done too well this weekend but maybe better than I would have done before I joined here. I will weigh in once a week and change my stats.
good luck to all!!
Laura

I think I lost like a half pound or something. I was happy.
But today I did something wrong. My hubby got me 'Tiramisu' sometime last week. He is sweet and he knows that I like sweets. I wasn't going to have it till 31st March. I was going to have just a little on that day to celebrate my B'day. But today I was hungry ..very hungry. Had a doctor's appt for my younger son and by the time we got home, it was too late. I didn't wanted to wait any more and wanted to eat something right away. There were carrots and cucumbers near Tiramisu but I chose unhealthy over healthy.
Anyways .... I know I can not change anything now ...but I promise myself that I will walk for 45 min ( at least ) today to compensate the 'bad did' :-)
Hope you all are on track with our challenge.
