Default Must lose weight before wedding

So I am devastated by my arm fat. I have gone my whole life carefully covering my chubby arms so that the world cannot see.
After trying on dresses and buying a pretty one I realize that I MUST MUST MUST lose weight now so that I don't have to stare at pictures of this arm fat forever.
I have six months to do this. I have had absolutely NO luck in losing weight during the last year and I am incredibly frustrated. I exercise 4-5 times a week using Jillian Michael's videos and I have suffered through low carb diets, fat smash diets ect. I haven't been able to lose a freaking pound.
I am going nuts with this!
Anybody else as insane as I am ?

It's hard to believe you have followed those diets to a T and lost nothing. Weight loss is not a matter of luck. It's a matter of planning, weighing and measuring food (not eyeballing portions), eating a variety of healthy foods. There is no guarantee fat will come off your arms.

Plan your meals, do both cardio and strength training, track what you are eating and you will have success. It looks like you have lost before so this can certainly continue.

I agree that planning and keeping track of calories is important (not to everyone but to me at least). Susan gave ya some good advice so I will just wish ya luck. You can do this!

I agree with the other posts; planning is key. Also, in my view, you have to find a plan that you can live with for the long haul. I have never had much luck sticking with plans that are too restrictive. I think eating sensibly and exercising have helped me the most.

Cheers,

J

Yup - I only lost weight when I started weighing and measuring and tracking my calories in Fitday.

Accountability was a very key component for me.

So was finding something I could do for the rest of my life (calorie counting). As HARD as losing is, maintenance can be even harder
