Default Having a hard weekend

I am having a hard weekend ya'all. Friday night I struggled and went 75 calories over. Yesterday I went 445 calories over. TOM just ended and suddenly I am feeling starved. Do I need vitamins? What the heck is going on . I am only 10 days in to my new lifestyle. I think I should go for a walk today since I haven't really exercised, but what if it makes me more hungry. To top it off hubby and I are going to a friend's BBQ today. I have no idea what food there will be.

Sometimes I find exercise helps curb my appetite, mostly by distracting me. I struggle with overwhelming hunger around TOM as well, though, so I understand how horrible it can be to try to stop thinking about it. Drink lots and lots of water, pack some veggies if you have them to snack on at the BBQ, and good luck!

I too find exercise to be helpful rather than make me more hungry, even better it burns some calories! Water water water...and I find if I am going to a tempting situation, I eat a big salad or veggies before I go, something with lots of fiber so you don't feel so hungry. Good idea from thistoo..packing some veggies helps!

Don't know if they are close enough friends that you feel comfortable telling them you are dieting, I find that helps for me, just letting people know so they don't keep forcing food at you.."here try this, and this, and this!" LOL

Good Luck!

I wouldn't worry about going 75 calories over, and as for yesterday that could be your cheat day.

Go for a walk then enjoy yourself at the BBQ. As Caroline said, pack veggies/fruit and drink lots of water. If possible take your own veggie burger. I'm sure they'll put on the barbee for you. If they BBQ chicken have it skinless. Make water your drink of choice there. Have a great time!

I agree with this! My theory is that if you have over 100 lbs to lose, stressing about one day will drive you insane. I know that it will likely take me well over a year to lose this weight, and I dont' know about you but being perfect every day for over 365 days is just way too much to expect from myself. It's the goal I strive for, but if I miss it one day I need to shrug it off and make tomorrow better. GL!

luckily for you its only 520 calories over which when you consider a lb of fat is around 3500 calories will reflect on the scales as no more than a couple of ounces max.

ice water drink of choice. water fills you up so therefore reduces the size of your stomarch. ice water shrinks it even more as ice is cold and cold causes contraction. although this is temporary.

I survived the BBQ! It was actually great. I had a burger, dry, with lettuce and tomato on a whole wheat bun. 1 serving of Doritos (160 calories) and some fruit salad that was mostly pineapple and strawberry. I am under my daily calorie allowance.
