Question Foods with Calcium

I'm concerned that I'm not getting enough calcium in my diet.

What foods have lots of calcium in them? Obviously dairy products do, but when trying to lose weight, you can't have too much of that! And I don't really like to drink milk (but I put in my oatmeal every morning!)

I know that certain veggies have calcium (I think broccoli-which is the one veggie that I really do not enjoy). So I'm hoping to find out more. Maybe zucchini and green beans? I eat a lot of those (good and cheap!)

from about.com

Nondairy Foods with Calcium

* Salmon
* Tofu
* Rhubarb
* Sardines
* Collard greens
* Spinach
* Turnip greens
* Okra
* White beans
* Baked beans
* Broccoli
* Peas
* Brussel sprouts
* Sesame seeds
* Bok choy
* Almonds

Truthfully, as someone who was dairy free for many years it is very difficult to get adequate calcium without dairy. I supplement.

Thanks! Some of those things I already eat (I should eat more salmon anyway, so good for you!). I'll add more things.

We posted at the same time. Ennay's list is definitely a better one.

Robin--that link you gave me has shrimp on it! Yay! Now even more of a reason to splurge--I always fee guilty because it's pretty pricey, but I love, and it's so filling, and so low cal and low fat. And apparently packed with calcium!
