Default Back from vacation - aack!

Had a great vacation, but totally strayed with my eating, and late night eating, and cheesecake, and... you get the idea. Gained back several pounds - but less than I expected.

So, do you suggest I just go it on my own again, or do you think I should try Weight Watchers? I don't really want to spend the money for WW, but would I have better long term success? I have lost weight since signing up for 3FC, & feel like I could lose it on my own, with this forum as motivation. I am embarrassed to even post, but I know you guys can give me good advice.

Thanks.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. NOTHING. We've all been in your shoes at one time or another or in my case MANY times.

Okay. As for your question about WW, well only you can decide that for yourself. Getting to a healthy weight is VITAL for you. Vital. Once you commit to do this, no matter what, NO MATTER WHAT, You need to consider your options and decide which will give you your best chance at success. Of course if one mode of attack doesn't workout for you, you can always try another and another.

I'm glad you're back and we're here to support you in whatever path you choose. I look forward to hearing of your progress....

Right now I sense you are asking this question because you have seen how easy it is to go off your food plan and overeat. You are afraid you are headed down that slippery slope again. You might need some exra help right now to get back on track and just having some more structure might do it. I went back to OA to get back in the groove but now I'm doing it with the help from the great people on 3FC. It's okay to need some help; more than okay. Get on top of it right away. The momentum and habits you built up will be in your favor right now. Don't let that go.

Thanks for the comments. Now that I'm home, I don't feel as overwhelmed, & am right back on track (even dropped 2 lbs). I think I'll give it a go at home for a month or so & re-evaluate if I'm not making any progress.

I didn't want to spend the money on WW either, so I just counted calories on my own. I learned a lot around here, of course, and it's all served me very well. Believe me, if I can figure it out, anyone can do it!

Congratulations on getting back on track! The vacation weight will be gone in no time.
