Default Shipoopy

I'm trying to moderate my language, trying to give up swearing. Shipoopy sounds good though.

So I've done my Three Days, and yes, I do feel back on track again, so Thankyou! all you great ladies.

The reason for the shipoopy oath is that, although I felt light and svelte this morning, when I got on the scales I'm half a pound up on yesterday, I felt sure I was having a whoosh. So Shipoopy. Do hope it's not rude in American, I just like the Shipoopy dance on Family Guy.

So, on to the next 3 days!

I've never heard of that word. I'm clueless to it.

I'm just thrilled and elated that the 3 day thing worked out well for you! Now it's on to the next 3 days..... 3 days.... one at a time, one hour at a time. It's a great thing. I urge you to keep it in your tool box and retrieve it as needed.

About that scale thing. You know the loss is coming. You know it. Don't know necessarily when, but you keep stringing together those 3 days together and the scale (your body) will just have to drop the pounds. Hang tough, tough lady.

There was an American musical, The Music Man, in which "Shipoopi" was a song sung by Buddy Hackett in the film version. That is the source of the Family Guy dance.

You can't see the family guy version, I suppose for copyright reasons, but you can hear it.
I did see the old clip on youtube - but I prefer family guy! What an iconoclast!

ok, take it back, it's on youtube at the minute, I swear, the last time I looked the graphics had been deanimated.

I think what I found funny, apart from not knowing the song before and it being a funny word, was that it was just a touchdown celebration - and it went on and on and on and on. I'm easily pleased!

Same here, I've been trying to work on my foul mouth too. I could put a sailor to shame.

It's funny I say the foulest things sometimes and I cringe when I hear others say it.

My potty mouth is definitly a work in progress.

My favourite word is frass. It really means caterpillar poop but is extremely useful. "No frassing way!" "Frass off!" Works like a charm.

Of course at my advanced age, it's expected that I be eccentric.

Ruthxxx - I love it, going to immediately start incorporating those phrases into my vocabulary, and I don't even swear now! Just sounds so fun to say and I have reputation of crazy auntie to uphold so this totally works for me.

My girls say "shut the front door" but I didn't know where it came from. While I was in nursing school I had the reputation as the stuffy old woman. Had one of the young students flip out on me because a test was curved and I "ruined the f-in curve you f-in c word" etc. She quickly learned that I've worked in a manufacturing plant most of my life. I can out-potty mouth anybody under the age of 25 without breaking a sweat.

My favorite (from Hook) is zebra-headed, slime coated pimple farmin' paramecium brain. You get all that spit out you don't need to swear and you're really not mad anymore!
