Question Filling, satisfying foods? Help!

I am always hungry now that I'm exercising more. Any ideas for really filling foods, snacks etc? The only thing that really fills me up these days is black beans and brown rice! Thanks!

From http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...ers.html?cat=5 .........

The great thing about most of these is that they are very versatile, so you can add a variety of toppings to them to keep from getting bored!

1. Potatoes (plain, baked)
2. Fish
3. Oatmeal - you could mix this with cottage cheese/yogurt, honey, maple syrup, raisins/dried fruit, fresh fruit/berries, etc.
4. Oranges
5. Apples - I personally LOVE apples with peanut butter, which makes a more filling snack.
6. Whole wheat pasta - obviously good, in moderation. Tomato sauce, esp. with extra veggies, tastes great. For the summer, you could even combine the pasta & fish and make a low-fat tuna casserole with onion and celery or whatever else you like.
7. Steak
8. Grapes - very good either cold from the fridge, or frozen! Lots of fiber and offers a nice crunch. I like adding them to chicken salad sometimes too.
9. Popcorn
10. Bran cereal

I have been keeping my version of bean salad in the fridge.
1 can chili beans
1 can corn
1 can black beans
about a cup or so of salsa
garlic powder
crushed red pepper

I eat this alot, warm and cold, on sandwiches, salads, with sauteed peppers/onions, on wraps.

Filling, fiber and one point on weight watchers for 1/2 cup

My favorite is:

1 tsp almond butter warmed in the microwave, then slice a small banana on top, then drizzle on some honey.

i really need to start learning what is good for me to eat and what is not.
I love black beans!

After working out, I like to make a big salad with grilled chicken, fresh cut carrots, onions, grn peppers and a lil bit of cheese with some low fat dressing.

FF refried beans and chicken. I use these ingredients in all kinds of food. With veggies, eggs, tortillas, pitas, etc. Cheap too =)

Veggies are a great way to bulk things out. Bell peppers, mushroom, squash, cabbage, spinach, etc. Have some lean protein (eggs, chicken, tuna, etc) and a little healthy fat (avocado, olives). Very satisfying!

Anything with high fiber is definitely a winner:

oatmeal
black beans
artichoke
garbanzo beans
apples
grapefruit
whole wheat pasta
brown rice
almonds
