I know how you feel! Night is my absolute worst time, and it sucks because my husband works pretty late so if I want to spend any time with him at all I have to stay up late
But you can do it! Stay strong! Drink some tea or water, that always helps me

Night munchies are the worst. For some reason, I never feel like munching on broccoli or anything good for me either!

Good for you Cherry. Yeah night times are the worst, I drink water until I feel full or I'll eat an apple. Good luck on those night munchies

Good job Cherry!

I didn't cave!!! I feel so proud. I was up probably 15 more minutes and then I went to bed. I read somewhere that sometimes you feel like you are hungry but in reality you either need water or sleep. I didn't feel thirsty so I went to bed. It took me no time to get to sleep either.

I am a night eater also.I work long days as a nurse.Run run run. When I get home I am usually very hungry.I have learned to distribute my calories accordingly.Light breakfast and lunch....larger dinner plus snacks.Having the available calories at night has been a lifesaver...

It won on me last night...
I was watching Intervention and hearing about addiction here, addiction there, food advertisement in between ended up me making cheese bread toasts with LOTS of butter on it. This was the first time in a long while it happened to me.

I guess the fact that my man wasnt home did not help, he usually tells me not to. Bad me, bad bad me.

Congrats on you guys who won the battle!

Have your "late night" munchies aresenal stashed somewhere...yes, most of the time you are going to be able to fight them off but sometimes they get the best of you...here are mine

Oikos Greek Yogurt (fat free/ton of protein-80 calories/9gms carbs)
100 calorie Oreos
Ziploc container of honeydew melon (measures to a fruit serving)
fat free chocolate pudding w/ a little ff cool whip on top

I get home at 10:30pm...My husband waits up while I unwind. We usually watch a show and trust me, about 2-3X's a week I want to cheat but by having my healthy stash w/ me I dont feel guilty. All of the above are snacks I LOVE so it feels like I am cheating when I'm really not. I still am able to stay below my calorie count for the day. I sometimes save my snack for that time knowing I am going to be craving. I have also tried to eat my snack really slow...enjoy it more, savor it, appreciate it! lol It works for me. I also follow a snack w/ a botle of water (16 or 20z) so I wont keep craving. hth

My late night stand by is Diet Swiss Miss. The kind with only 20 calories. If I drink something hot and sweet it always satisfys that late night craving.

congrats on not caving... Those are the times when you have to be the strongest!!!

Diet Swiss Miss is an excellent idea! I never thought of that one.

Today was a baaaaaaaaad day all around. I didn't over-do my eating but it wasn't as healthy as it could have been. I am proud that I didn't run and binge like I wanted to.

This has been my problem for the last several months!! On and off....I do great at work, then ruin it once I get home.

My old tricks don't seem to be working (decaf coffee or tea, chewing gum, brushing my teeth).
From Jan to April I was in super shape and working out 6 days a week and eating right: Then for whatever reason I fell off the wagon. I find this late night food craving is really what is derailing me the most!!
