Default High Fiber Lo Cal Bread

Can you help me? I'm trying to find some kind of bread or rolls that is high fiber and lo cal....preferrably whole grain.

My food plans calls for 2 servings of no more than 160 calories but must have 10g of fiber...so if it were bread, 80 cal or less slice with 5g fiber.

Anyone?

Karen

Karen:

Try Alvarado Street breads. They are whole grain (several varieties) and each slice has between 70 to 90 calories and 3 to 5 grams of protein, depending on the kind you choose. I love it. You can find it at places like Whole Foods or even your local grocery stores (mine carry it now). Sometimes, depending on the store, it will be frozen; I think that is because it doesn't have preservatives, so it keeps longer that way.

Cheers,

J

Sara Lee 45 and Delightful. My favorite is the multigrain. 45 calories per slices, 5 grams of fiber per two slices. One of my staples.
