Default I can do a pushup!

I can FINALLY do a pushup! A full out, on my feet, NOT my knees PUSHUP! I tried for two but almost fell on my face.
But one will only lead to more so I'm excited! My first NSV!

I can only do "girlie push-ups" (knee) as DS14 calls them. I cannot do regular push-ups without falling flat on my face! Sometimes we have push-up contests at home to see if we can outdo each other. I can usually do 15-20 "girlie push-ups" vs DS & DH's 15 "manly push-ups".

woohoo! Congratulations! Push ups are my personal favorite form of exercise that isn't a sport.

Awesome!!! I'm trying to work back up to my high of 27, but that was when I was in the service. I can barely do one right now. Keep up the good work and you will bust 2 out in no time!!!

EveLHaelf, congrats! How long have you been trying to do a real push up? I am working my way up to that in fitness bootcamp, but I am not there yet. Good Job!

Congrats! It's a great feeling, isn't it?! I remember I tried for months to do just one and finally I did it. It gets so much easier after that. I can pop out a good 30 "manly" push ups if I really need to. You'll be popping them out in no time. =)

I can crank out about 5 very good ones but after that, the form goes downhill quickly. After 10, it makes no sense to continue (ie. on my toes).
But, in my recent Chest & Back workout (from the P90X series), I did 158 of the "girlie" ones on my knees (within one hour). But, I would not advertise it anywhere because they really sucked.

Anyway, since we are speaking about push ups, here is how NOT to do them:

It's Kelly Ripa's push up challenge. She does an respectable number of them but the quality is not good (although I admit I admire her for the number nevertheless).

That was my NSV a couple months back. Now I can so many in a row! Keep at it!
