"I will not hit the snack machine; I will not hit the snack machine..."
Just my mantra I keep repeating to myself...I am sitting here so starved! I had lunch, so no excuse...just hungry.

If it's anything like the snack machine here, the BEST you can hope for is 200 calories of empty carby crap that will just make you feel hungrier in an hour.
Tomorrow - plan to have a healthy snack on hand. Nuts, string cheese, piece of fruit, jerky, etc.

Yep - I'm a firm believer in planning for this. If you're genuinely hungry, and not head-hungry, it could be that for whatever reason, your body needs a bit more fuel today...and that's fine and normal (FWIW, I never experienced any gain or slowdown from adding an extra healthy snack when I was genuinely hungry. It was eating when I WASN'T hungry that caused me problems). But you've got to plan ahead or what's available to you won't be healthy foods, and then you're sunk!
Lots of people keep an "emergency snack drawer" at work for just this kind of thing.

If you're gonna hit it, use a sturdy stick or baseball bat...make it hurt.

Me too, I'm so hungry today! I'm wondering if it has something to do with the t.o.m.? (It's coming up for me, I think.)
I just had a salad for a snack. Lettuce and some (fairly) low-calorie dressing. I thought all the chewing would help my hunger. Nope, still hungry. Next I'll try a huge glass of water and hopefully it will fill me up.

Don't do it! lol!
It might be tempting, but you'll regret it in 20 minutes. I stash some sunflower seeds in my desk, and some ff cheese and veggies in the fridge at work. Never have to worry about anyone stealing my food - hehehe!

If you have something healthy I say eat it- I keep TONS of snacks around at work. Prunes, cheese, oranges, granola bars, and so on

I have a whole drawer of healthy snacks, and some better than vending machine option slightly less healthy snacks as well. I work in a restaurant, so hitting them up for food means fries and onion rings.
Hang in there! The day is almost over!

The snack machine is the stereotypical "bad boy". It looks good. It tastes good. It seduces you into getting just a little too close...
Then he leaves you with emotional (and physical) baggage and moves on to the next female victim without mercy.
He's so bad.
((I ♥ Edward, and he technically sticks with one girl, but yanno.. the quote was perfect.))

HA! I agree!!!
But like the others said, the best thing to do would be to bring a snack from home.. no point in starving!
