Default Everyone Weigh in 07/25/09

It's time for the 3FC general weigh in thread. Everyone is welcome to join, just jump in whenever your official weigh in day rolls around. Good luck, everyone!

Me: 190, down 2.5 pounds from last week. Ok, I don't really think that I've lost 2.5 pounds of fat, I think that I was having a bit of bloating last week that fell off for this weigh in. That said, I do think I've gotten a handle on what has been hanging up my weight loss efforts. Eating a couple of high fiber crackers with homemade hummus (learned how to make my own! Finally!) has really given me a tool to combat my home-from-work-mindless eating munchies. I was actually looking forward to this week's weigh in, the first time in a long time.

Nice work!

I'm at 173.6 down about .6 from the last 2 weeks. I think my body is building muscle at this point, I can feel everything getting stronger and toned, but the scale is barely budging. I track what I eat and have been sweating my butt off, so nothing has changed there.

Maybe I'll go weigh .6 pounds of butter on my scale and visualize my success.

Wondering if there will be a whoosh of weight loss soon...

Didn't lose any this week. Had a lot of stress with son who is 26, intentional overdose. NSV didn't head to the kitchen. I didn't drink my water as usual as I was at the hospital. Also didn't get my exercise in as usual.

191.6 scale hasn't budged much in the past few weeks. Gotta love that on the go lifestyle.

Unhappy

Thanks for the hug. This is his 5th time. The last time they determined his has bi polar disorder. His is my younger son and is borderline mentally disabled. Long story short he was involved with a woman that was 42 to his 26 for the past two years and were planning to get married. They broke up and that was why he tried to overdose. What does a healthy 42 years old woman want with a mentally disabled 26 year old? He cannot hold a job, lives at home and is on social security disability. You would think that at her age she would at least want someone her own maturity, mental ability, and income. His income from social security is around $600.00, he gets around $140.00 in food stamps and has Medicaid. His maturation age is around 15 years which means he still thinks and acts like a teenager and all that means. His medication for bi polar disorder does help keep him on a more even level. Sorry for the long post.

213. Weight loss is always on my mind, among other things. I've gotta get moving to make it happen. Today's a new day, and I've a bigger desire to follow through!

151.8 which means down 1.7 since last week, but 10 lbs total in 3 weeks now since being back on the band wagon. 16.8lbs to go!

well, I didn't lose any..but didn't gain either 177.0 yesterday and 176.8 today..just hovering. I'm still going to beat this plateau! (i didn't weigh at same time today)

edited to say: I got the scale to move with calorie cycling!!! 3 days ago..i changed the calories to 1700, 1200-1300 next day, 1900 the next day...and I dropped .8 lbs.

I am stuck in that same blasted plateau! I have experimented with my calories this weekend, eating more calories at breakfast, then biked both mornings for about an hour. I notice that when I do that I am less hungry through out the day.

i'll have to keep doing that a few more days since the decrease appetite could also be due to the disgustingly humid weather or the cleaning out of my dad's house.

Here's to lower numbers everywhere!!

Thanks for the hugs Jennifer. I have been really struggling the past few days to not eat my troubles away. You all are the best.

I took a few days off from work at my supervisor's suggestion. I am a case worker for people with special needs. i have a case load of 10 people, ages 7 to 73. When people ask me what I do I tell them I'm a professional mom. Sometimes filling everyones needs can be stressful. So that is why I'm here, it was time to do something for me.
