Default 21 lbs. in 21 days

Has anyone done this juice diet called 21 on 21? I think that is the name. Anyways I bought a juicer but it broke down 3 days later I actually did lose some weight about 7 lbs in 3 days but did not continue it. I read it on a magazine. First is the name of the magazine. They even recommend a juice fountain from Breville. All you eat is juice you are like fastening. You juice your fruits and vegetables. DO you think this is a good and safe way to lose weight? I found myself amazed on day 3 but since my hubby bought me a cheap juicer I was unable to complete my program. I am still looking forward to doing this again and maybe this time for the 21 days.

I would think that it may make you lose weight initially- but once you start eating regular food again you will most likely gain most of it back

I agree with beerab. I would suggest continuing to use the juicer if you want...it's a great way to get in those extra servings when you just don't want to "eat" anything & so much healthier than and V8 or those fruity V8 drinks.

Short term, I think it's a good way to lose. But in the long run, you'd have a hard time not gaining any back.

Think of Oprah, the first time she publicly lost weight. She did a liquid diet thingy, but it all came back once she started eating regular food. DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF.

It probably will make you lose weight and fast but it is not a long term or life solution because as soon as you start to eat normally again you will put all that weight back on.

Not to mention that it also sounds fairly hazardous to your health ... ...

Making a lifestyle change that includes diet and exercise to lose weight gradually is a safer and more effective form of weight loss and you a definitely more guaranteed to keep the weight off.

Thanks to everyone for your answers. I just thought it would be a good way to do a fastening because you were still taking in vegtables and fruits only in another way ofcourse by juicing them.

First is known to publish a lot of fad diets that don't result in real, sustainable weight loss. I would avoid any diet advice from First magazine.

i think any thing that deals with a fast weight lost plan is temporary. You are more than likely going to gain the weight back and more .

but um, i think if you juice fast, get your vitamins and nutrients, it shouldnt be too bad.
