Talking Homemade doggy cookie recipes!

As I'm sure everyone knows its much better if you bake your own dog cookies is much more healthier (and cheaper) than buying ones like Milk Bones etc. I have sooo many recipes for dog cookies and my boys just love them! Just wondering if anyone else bakes for their dogs and maybe you would like to share some...

Here's the first one for you all to try. Its super simple and the dogs just love them!

Peanut Butter Barker Cookies

1 cup Oatmeal
1 cup Water
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup unbleached white flour
3 tbls peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1 tbls vegetable or canola oil
1 tbls shortening or margarine
2 tbls honey or molasses
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine water and oats in a large bowl.
Add honey, peanut butter, oil and shortening. Mix well.
Add flour mixture to make a dough that is not sticky to the touch. Roll about 1/4 thick.
Cut out each cookie and poke with a fork.
Bake 45 minutes. Leave in oven about 1 hour before serving.

*If your dog is allergic to wheat, substitute the white & wheat flour for Rye flour*
