Default Okay so it's not HUGE..

But I lost my first ten pounds. I reached 220. I look at this weight and think, "I used to weigh that much. ****, I used to weigh 214. I used to weigh 180!!" But I don't weigh those beautiful, slender weights anymore. No. Now I am a hefty 220 lbs. I looked at myself in a long mirror today, a side view. I saw the flap hanging over my underwear. The one my two-year-old "blessed" me with. I wanted to cry. I kept thinking, will this ugly thing ever go away? Will it always just hang over my underwear?? Make me sweat in a crease that I never had before? I kicked myself in the tush and walked out of the bathroom.. after weighing myself on three different scales. I know, I know! It's a bad habit. But I set my first mini goal..

Fit into my Bongos. A size 17. I wear size 17 jeans now but for some reason they are all cut different. After my Bongos, my Angels, also a 17. Also cut much thinner. And then after those.. if and when I reach a size 15, I'll treat myself to half a new wardrobe.

Wishful thinking.

Goodluck everyone!!

Congrats on 10 lbs gone!! I'm right behind you! I know what you mean about looking in the mirrow and seeing the flaps hanging over your pants. My turning point was when my 18's didn't fit anymore. That really put me in perspective. I started a little portion control about 7 days ago and have lost 7 lbs.

Good for you! We're at (about) the same weight now...and the same height. We must carry our weight differently because I cannot fit my booty into size 17 Bongo jeans. I WISH!
Keep up the good work....you inspire others (like me)...

Ten pounds is a LOT! Next time you're at the grocery store, pick up a 10-pound sack of potatoes and imagine carrying that around with you all day. Congratulations!

Every milestone needs to be celebrated, and the first 10 is a BIG one... because it's the first one!!! Those first steps are the biggest, and that means you are on your way!!!!!!!!

You're doing great! You can't lose your last 10 pounds until you lose your first 10 pounds.
