Default One type of food a day

Hi!

Is anyone following the type of diet where you eat in moderation one type of food per day or for 3 days...not combining foods.

Something like:

Monday - vegetables
Tuesday - fruits
Wednesday - milk/milk based products
Thursday - fish
Friday - light meat like chicken

then repeat

Some people do each type of food for 3 days, which is harder, while others follow what I posted.

Apparently one can lose up to 5kgs/week. The trick is not to go back to bad eating.

Is anyone following this diet? I want to give it a try.

Hi Lucia!

I'd be worried about following this type of plan because you aren't getting all of the nutrients your body needs to function every day. One food group isn't going to provide you with the vitamins and nutrients you need to be healthy.

Also, I wouldn't think this would be sustainable as a lifestyle change. I don't think anyone wants to have "milk only" days for the rest of their life!

Maybe you could modify this by trying to eat appropriate amounts from each of the categories every day? Just a suggestion!

Good luck!

My question is, could you eat this way for the rest of your life? If the answer is no, then I can't see the point in doing it as any weight loss would only be temporary.
