Default You On A Diet: June/July Chatter

I thought I would go ahead and start a new thread since we are into June now.
First week on YOAD 100% sees a 5 pound weight loss for me with only 3 more pounds to go and see my ticker being accurate.

Being insulin resistant, thyroid not working and hypoglycemic....I think YOAD is my way to go to get where I need to be.

Weighed today and I am one pound away from my ticker being accurate. Woohoo!!!!! Still 100% on program but I am still in the detox period so I feel a little like crude but I will make it. I only have a little more than 5 weeks before my blood tests so I am hoping by staying completely on program....I will see vast improvements to avoid any medication.

I've been away for awhile, haven't been on program totally, but have tried to do breakfast & lunch correctly, hope to start again 100 percent Monday.

I'm back on the bandwagon as of Monday (yesterday) myself. I came to realize my birthday is 20 weeks away, and I told DH that I want our birthday present to me to be that we are both in much better shape by then. He can probably lose 40# by then (and I would love him to!), and my goal is to lose inches - perhaps two sizes worth? I don't rely on the scale for my results as I have a pretty high lean body mass.

So, we've started steering our eating toward our YOU: ideal - back to the whole wheat pasta, bread, english muffins, and I need to learn to make my steel cut oats again!

So far so good - food this week wasn't bad. Definitely making steps in the right direction!

Help I've fallen! Why oh why do I do this? I was doing great until a graduation party and had some sugar and now I can't seem to get my head into this. I will have to try again.

Karen and Cindy.....keep up the good work! Your my inspiration!

This is the last day of June.....wow, time flies really fast. Did well yesterday until dinner but I came home and floated in the pool first so I sabatoged myself and ordered pizza first because that is what the boys wanted. Oh well, today is another day.

Hey Kim and everyone - I decided to make this a June/July thread since we've not had many posts.

I'm watching a rerun of Oprah's Bob Greene show from Best Life week. I'm home sick today - I went to NYC last week, and think I picked up a bug! I was all set to get myself back into the gym today until this came along.

Now that the 4th is past, it's time to get serious again! I've got 16 weeks until my birthday, and I'm giving this as a present to myself.

Oprah says "you have to put yourself back on your "to-do" list", and that especially includes exercise!

I am also doing YOAD. How much has everyone lost? And how long did it take?
