Hey Chicas

I am writing to you from the emergency room. My papaw is bleeding from holes that are not supposed to be bleeding so me and my mom escorted him to the hospital. We have been here about 3 hours and it seems there is not an end in sight at least soon. They are going to be admitting him sometime soon just don't know exactly when. Well gotta go for now ill be back soon. On lighter notes I went for walking for the first time in eons last night it felt good. I had no idea how worked up I was until I got back to the house. I was sweatin' and everything.

Good morning all,

Bee- So sorry to hear about your Papaw. He will be in my thoughts for sure, and I hope he gets to feeling better very soon!

analeh- Not sure if our buses run on Sunday, I have never seen the buses out on a Sunday afternoon. But then, we're in the Bible belt and it seems everyone goes to church on Sundays. I know of at least three franchised business in the area that close down on Sundays as well.

My weight in was good, I had lost 1lb so far. This was great, except for the fact that I didn't realize that the dial had been pushed back to 295 lb by accident (I have an analog scale til I can afford a digital one), so now I'm really confused... I guess I'll just not change the current weight until next week, when I will be that weight.

I am going to try a new pasta recipe today that I found on a fat free vegan website... it looks really good, and was very inexpensive to buy ingredients for. I'll have to figure out something to do with the excess pasta though, I guess I will freeze it.

In other news, I will have somewhere to go this morning. I am going to a Unitarian church in the suburbs, just to see if I like it. Normally, I'm not really into that sort of thing but I need to find some in-person kind of friends while I'm here (only two more months! ), otherwise I'm going to pull my hair out.

Anyhoo, I'm off to find some breakfast. (By the way, Frodo found some too... he was munching on the end of a romaine heart that I had thrown away. *sighs* Maybe he wants to diet as well... lol.)

Bee - I hope they get your papaw admitted soon and figure out how to make the bleeding stop.

It's been a pretty lazy weekend for me. I have slept much more than normal and I love that I was able to finally catch up on some of that sleep I feel like I haven't been getting over the past couple of weeks. I made it to the gym both days and am excited for today. Not only is my mom making a turkey dinner, but I will finally get to see the "Real Housewives of NYC" reunion special. I have missed it every other time that it's been on...and I can't wait to see it!!! haha

bee- So sorry to hear about papaw. Prayers!

Chele- Don't you love lazy weekends?

Me- Okay girls. New week, new frame of mind. Hubby and I have decided that I need a break from WL. We have decided that I will be maintaining for about 3 or so weeks until we are firmly in our house. Then I can control all food, meals, snacks, workout times, etc. My stress level is at an 11 right now. I'm not sleeping well, not losing on the scale, and overall just getting burnt out on all this. So to avoid a major crash and burn, I am just going to relax a bit. Still gonna workout and watch my food. Just not gonna stress if I miss a workout and only weigh in on Challenge days. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised by the results! We shall see. Here's to a wonderful week and good luck to all!

Any chance of getting the website?! It's just I have been having gallstone attacks very frequently and my non fat recipes are getting boring now!

Yup, the blog is located at http://blog.fatfreevegan.com and it has the aforementioned recipe, plus many more. So far I have been impressed with them, though I have yet to cook the pasta dish yet. I will though soon, and post a review on my blog (that is located to the left of the post)

I went walking today at a different park, and it was so much fun. I saw about 10 or 12 geese with about 50 goslings, just hanging out by the pond enjoying the weather. Also, there was some kind of Israeli ethnic festival going on at the same park, which would have been sooo much fun to go to, though I don't think I could have stayed away from the food. (I love pretty much any foreign food I haven't tried yet. lol)

The church was lackluster, but they're nice folk. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

Heather- Just hang in there and do the best you can! Moving is tough, and stressful! But it sounds like you have a supportive hubby, which is great!

Welp, I've off to blog. Talk to ya'll later!

Hey yall,

Update for my papaw. We are still at the hospital he was admitted around 5am to the ICU and they were going to do emergency surgery around noon. However, they decided at the last minute to try a less invasive procedure to fix the bleeding which is good because they were not giving him good chances in surgery. Then they will be evaluating him again to see if he needs the actual surgery.

I think I am going to try and leave in time to make it out to dinner with friends. I need a little non serious time after all this serious stuff.

Bee- sorry to hear that, hope that the les sinvasive procedure finds out whats up and that its easily treatable. Sending good vibes!

Vertigosky- i love your avatar! How did you make it? Was from a site? I love those simulation thingies!

As for me, I am going to UP my calories to 1700 a day and see what happens. I've got an eating plan from my PT and i am doing a fair amount of exercise. It may be that my body has gone "hmm less food, better use fat" for the past year and now its like "omg its been a year, must be a famine! Store store store"

I finally tried my pasta recipe tonight. It was absolutely wonderful... though the onions were just a little crunchy. If I can find the recipe again I will post it here.

Bee - I hope everything goes well, you and your family are in my thoughts.

Heather - good luck! Sometimes taking a break is the best thing to do, especially since you're under all the stress from the house.

I'm going to whine a little bit. I went to NJ on Friday because I was *supposed* to help my dad with gardening and then go to a movie on Saturday. Well he apparently changed his mind without letting me know, so I spent most of the weekend alone or food shopping with my sister, and then I went to a movie ALONE on Saturday because my sister went out with her boyfriend and my two girl friends were out with their boyfriends. I was just so mad - I drove 3.5 hours to hang with my family, and no one cared or stuck around. I can't be angry at my two friends, because they didn't know I was coming, but UGH. If I wanted to be alone all weekend, I could have just stayed in Maryland. And I feel guilty about being mad at my father, because he had to go to work (some pipe lines were leaking) and he did go and get me rainbow cookies, but then I ate too many of them. So good though. I spent the morning alone with the dog, then I figured eff it, and just left. I went to the gym for a half hour before the closed, and did the 30 DS video for the first time - OW is all I have to say - the boys came home and I feel less alone now, but it really bothers me how sometimes it seems like no one cares if I come or go. I know that's not true, that people do care, but sometimes I get a little attention-whorey and I want them to actually show it.

My eating has been pretty good and I have controlled myself mostly. I have the man of my dreams in my life right now and every day is better then the last. Lets hope that when I weigh myself tomorrow I can change my ticker again

Bee- sorry to hear the bad news hope everything turns out well!
