Default There is not much worse than being constipated!

Just need to vent about that for a moment. I had a lot of fiber today too. 3 cups of coffee, 2 helpings of benefiber, yogart with gronola, a ham & cheese sandwhich, a pear, about 8 cups of water so far, oh, and throw in a fiber one bar for good measure ( ate that about 2 hrs ago in hopes it would help move things )

It just makes me feel so lethargic, and nto wanting to work out, but I'm gonna go anyway, that usually helps too, but I want to go BEFORE working out, shoot, I wanted to go about 8 hours ago.

/end vent!

try just going for a walk around the block. Sometimes you just need to get things moving in order to get things moving if you know what I mean

UGH, yes, I definitely 100% agree! A couple months ago, I went through a time where I swear didn't have a BM for like 1.5 weeks! Just awful! And it messes with your mind (or at least it did with me) because the scale shows gain after gain after gain, and you *know* it's just because you're, uh, "clogged up," but it's so hard to ignore the climbing numbers!

Since you already have the fiber thing covered, did you make sure that you drank enough water to go along with all that fiber? Fiber + plenty of water = good digestion, but fiber - plenty of water = very bad constipation! Heh. And yeah, I second what time2lose said about healthy fats--maybe eat some avocado or something? Oh, or isn't coffee supposed to be pretty good for that? When I get constipated, I usually just wait it out (though the discomfort SUCKS!), though I did end up resorting to a stool softener that one time... If yours gets really bad, you might want to consider that, too.

Then again, it sounds like you really just needed to vent, so I'll assume that you already have a pretty good grip on how to take care of it yourself, hehe! But you definitely have my sympathy, chicky...

Thanks everyone! Even though I was just venting, I was hoping for some tips as well. It's mostly just so uncomfortable to the point where I can't concentrate on work cause I'll I'm thinking about is "it'd be real great if I could go to the bathroom!!" lol

But a week in half? man, that would be awful! I was able to get some relief this morning, but am still feeling a little blocked up, but I'm drinking tons of water in hopes of that helping.

I haven't been constipated in, in, in - ever. I haven't once been constipated since changing up my diet. Not once.

Veggies. Veggies. Veggies.

Fruit. Fruit. Fruit.

Morning. Noon. Night.

With each and every meal. Each and every snack. Not only with each and every meal. But as the BULK of each and every meal. AS your snack. Forget ham and cheese sandwiches. Puny little Fiber One bars. Benefiber. EAT REAL VEGGIES. And lots of them. Spinach, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, asparagus, romaine hearts, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, etc. And your fruits, especially berries - straw, blue, rasp, black.

Drink your water. Take walks. Every day. Oh - AND EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!!!!! Fruits too.
