Smile Summer Activities

Now that Summer will be here soon and I've lost some weight I would like to try bike riding. I haven't owned an outside bike for about six years. I would like to get one soon and start riding outside. Anyone, have any other ideas for Summer Activities to try now that we are losing weight?

I just bought a bike...and a bike trailer that will tow both my kiddos. They love going for rides "on mommy's bike". I put them in the trailer, ride through the area neighbors for my exercise then we stop at a park and swing, slide, run (more exercise) then ride back home. It's so much fun. Last year I never could have had this much fun on the playground with my kiddos!

I'm also thinking about joining a local swim club for the summer.

I would love to learn how to roller blade. I think all my weight on those skates might hurt my feet though.

I tried to learn how to bicycle last year and I failed miserably. Actually I rode my bike fine for the most part, I just couldn't overcome my fear of riding it. The entire situation depressed me. Then I did some research and bought a tricycle! I'm in love with my tricycle. I rode on it the past couple weekends.

I've been toying with getting a pair of roller skates. The old skool quads like I used to have as a kid. I can just picture myself zooming around my neighborhood on them!

I usually go rollerblading, play a ton of softball, and rock climbing. This isn't an activity, but I always find myself doing it -- pulling weeds.

I love biking! My boyfriend and I recently bought mountain bikes. There are lots of biking/hiking trails around here.. but we mainly just ride around in the evenings through the other neighborhoods. Rollerblading is also sounds fun! I been on skates in yearrrrs...but maybe it's something to try

I'll be walking, riding my bike, swimming and gardening. I'd like to find other things to do because I already do these things now. I need some low impact ideas. Got any suggestions?

I'm coaching t-ball this year and actually running around with my little monsters, including one of my sons, out on the field. I feel totally different than I have the past few years I started coaching again (I have coached and was an umpire since I was 18) If I had the time to fit it I would join the softball league here! I love baseball lol

We've been looking at bikes since there is a bike trail not too far from us that used to be a railroad. I'm kinda excited about making it a regular family outing

I LOVE biking! I'm just getting back into it myself. I just bought myself an early summer present online yesterday... a TNI Bento Box for my bike, a rear bike rack, and some panniers. I figure between biking to the grocery store and biking to the beach with my little sister I'll get more than enough use out of them to make it worth it!

Aside from biking, I'm all about the mowing and gardening in the summer.

Hiking, jogging, long walks with the family. Swimming in lakes and the ocean, going to try rollerblading! and starting agility with my pup
