L - Amy's palak paneer frozen meal
S - apple, yogurt
S - small slice of bread, some OJ
D - asparagus parmesan pasta toss
S - I have a feeling I ate something after dinner. I don't remember what it could have been though. Maybe I didn't eat anything? I went to bed pretty soon after eating dinner . . .
E - 5 mile bike ride, 1.5 mile run

Lucky you with the weather, it's raining in San Diego - so unnatural!

B - TJ's fat free Greek yogurt with honey, 1/2 packaged of strawberries

L - BBQ salad - greens, chopped red cabbage, carrot shreddies, a little roasted corn, grape tomatoes, red onions, grilled chicken with BBQ sauce, a tiny bit of fat free ranch dressing, crispy Sante Fe tortilla strips for crunch

S - tangelo

S - 2 wasa crackers, low fat LC cheese

D - I picked up some marsala simmer sauce from Trader Joe's, looks pretty good. Going to have chicken marsala over brown rice with some broccoli/cauliflower on the side.

I have been getting all crazy after dinner and having green tea with WAY too much honey (mmm honey). I resisted last night and will hopefully declare the kitchen CLOSED after dinner.

Hey chicks!

I had a great weekend. It was a very food social weekend and I kept myself in control while indulging just a bit. I've finally gotten below that red line and I am feeling motivated to keep it there.

today:
after this post I am leaving for a run

crock pot chicken on large salad with salsa and low fat sour cream, enough to eat for br and lunch
after run, afternoon snack of balance bar
huh, dinner...
thinking broc cheese soup and this salad again

Kittycat, congrats on the success this weekend!

I also did pretty well yesterday, considering the temptations at church and the movies. I indulged a bit, but kept my portions small. At church I had a very small helping of scrambled eggs, a small blueberry muffin, and large serving of fruit. At the movies I ate a few peices of fat free candy, but not much, then I had a light dinner.

Monday:
e: 30 min CardioMax w/Bob Harper + stretching & back exercises
b: half a whole wheat eng muffin and 1 turkey sausage patty
s: yogurt maybe? Something around 100 calories
l: I need to stock up on my work food supply, so running to the store at lunchtime. Probably a lean pocket.
s: 100 calorie pack and 1 small square of dark chocolate
d: sesame & ginger marrinated chicken strips, stir fried w/veggies.
s: something very small, or better yet brush my teeth after dinner and close the kitchen.

Have a great day.
Shanna

This weekend was VERY active and other than a bit more wine than I'd like, very healthy eating-wise. Saturday I ran a gorgeous 5k, and Sunday my mom and I did a 5 mile hike. Lovely!

Plan today is to shorten my exercise somewhat, because I didn't do any rest days this weekend.

B - English muffin w/ egg, 1 slice bacon
S - ?? Not quite sure, but it'll be something 100-150 cals
L - Tuna on Double Fiber english muffin w/ light cheese
S - Greek Yogurt w/ frozen strawberry
S - Popcorn
D - Big salad: Grilled chicken, kidney beans, greens, carrots, cucumber, bell pepper, broccoli, some croutons, laughing cow, spray balsamic dressing
S - NSA Ice Cream Bar

E - Jillian "Boost Metabolism..."

This weekend wasn't terrible - I stayed within my calories Fri & Sat, went only 100ish over Sunday but did a four mile run. Ate some junk, but less than most weekends.

Today:
Exercise - I have to move 25 full ledger file boxes from the currently empty staff accountant office so we can do interviews there - each one is pretty darn heavy. I'm planning strength training when I get home, figured I should wait and do it after box madness is over.

B: smoothie, , reese's peanut butter egg (the next step up from the small one, comes in a bag, 2 per serving - used to be the medium size, but now there are four sizes of them!)
S: apple
L: turkey & broccoli pita
S: lashi go lean
D: hamburger helper cheesy potato with ground turkey breast, broccoli
S: skinny cow dipper

I just moved all of the file boxes - bankers boxes is what they are called - and I feel pretty good! They were pretty darn heavy, so holding off on the exercise for tonight at home was the right choice... The typical MO is to have one of the men who works in the restaurant downstairs do the moving, but I did it all myself in about the same time it would have taken me to find a free guy! Woo hoo!

Thanks Shanna!

Of course, the guys downstairs who watched me moving boxes just told me 'Don't carry heavy boxes anymore or you can't have babies'. No reason why not, just that. I guess babies aren't heavy.

My mom used to say "be careful when you lift heavy things, you might strain your feminine organs." Which doesn't sound like MY MOM at all, so I bet she was quoting HER MOM.

But wait--- it's men who get hernias from lifting too much---

Had I known it was a surefire thing, I would have become a weightlifter just for the safety factor...
