Despite the fact that it looks like I have no problems with this weight loss thing...

Tonight I was taking progress pics (85 lbs lost!) and decided what the ****... Jeff... take some naked pics too.

I should NOT HAVE DONE THAT. Or if I did... I should not have looked.

So I've spent the last hour on my husbands shoulder bawling my eyes out. I have no naked at 85 lbs heavier pics to compare it too obviously but it was wayyyyy bad. Bad bad bad. Made me feel as if I have not accomplished anything.

Now logically I know I am smaller. But mentally? Those pics did my in.

So I have a full water bottle of lemon tea. Tissues and will post my CLOTHED progress pics in a bit.

You know what though? You were actually WILLING to take naked pics now as opposed to 85 pounds ago. That's progress.

It's not where you are - it is where you are going that counts. You might not have liked what you saw but you are dealing with it, it's not out of control anymore, bit by bit you are changing. Take heart cfmama!!! I love reading your notes and have been so inspired by you and I just know others must be too. You will get there!!

I hate seeing myself naked, so I know how you feel. Just think how nice it will be when you can look back on those and see how far you've come. keep up the good work

I agree with Iheartsushi. Because you are now feeling comfortable in your skin enough to take nude photos is HUGE progress. And look at it this way... NOW, after the next however many pounds, you can compare to these pictures & feel amazing. Not that you shouldn't feel amazing already, because you ARE! You're a HUGE inspiration to me!! (And I really truely mean that).

I have to agree.
To be willing to take naked pics is real progress.

I'm not willing half the time to have a picture taken with my clothes on let alone off

I think it's amazing you have the guts to get your picture taken naked regardless. I know myself; I wouldn't have the moxie to do that even if I weighed 125 lbs. You are an amazing person. Wow!

I just got done looking at your progress photos and was all aglow with your success (hoping for my own, too!). I don't know if it was your intent, but I had to chuckle at this thread. I know it was hard to see the naked photos, but your description of your reaction and calling it a "PSA" post made me grin.

Go back and look at the clothed pics! You are an inspiration to us all!

I still refuse to let anyone see me butt naked in the light. Atleast you were willing to let Jeff take pictures of you naked, that is a HUGE accomplishment. Do you think you would have let him do that one year ago? You've come so far, and it's only going to get better from here

I am 83 pounds lighter and at a good weight. Do I look good, naked ? Heck no! I look better, but not great. I have a lot of excess skin that is concealed by clothing. If I didn't have other health issues and if I could afford it I would have a tummy tuck. But I am still pleased with my appearance, even though some of my body doesn't look so good.

Glad you were able to take them AND that you have so much support at home.

It is hard though, when we feel like we are doing so well and see a bulge, bump or just how big we still are compared to a thinner fried or whatever.

Keep at it, it will only get better.

But we also all will have to find self acceptance somewhere too, I imagine that the mind doesn't always want to do that, regardless of how one's body actually looks.

No matter what you looked like you're 85 pounds lighter, and that rocks. I'm sorry it was such a bummer, but I bet even Beyonce isn't that thrilled about her nekkid bod.
