Everyone Weigh in 02/27/09
It's time for the 3FC general weigh in thread. Everyone is welcome to join, just jump in whenever your official weigh in day rolls around. Good luck, everyone!
Me: 186.5, down half a pound from last week. Which kind of shocks me, since I was up all week to the 190's and really, really, not looking forward to this weigh in. But, since I vowed to never just ignore my weight again and bury my head in the sand against the ugly truth, I got on the scale today and poof! four pounds gone from yesterday. Whew!

I upped my exercise so hopefully next week I'll be seeing a lower number lol .6lbs away from having lost a total of 5lbs so I am excited

Sorry I've been MIA. All I was seeing on the scale was either staying steady or going up a little bit so I didn't feel the need to post that since I was already feeling like poop about it Anyway, the scale is going back down and I'm at 217 again which is better than it has been at other points this month. I think my body kinda needed to reboot so I'm resetting everything and starting fresh again tomorrow.

This is painful! In the year I've been gone I've gained 20 pounds, most of it in the last 2 months. I get very depressed during winter and have a stressful time at work. I'm back to get healthy again and finish the journey I started two years ago. So today I am ....228. It's good to be back among friends.

I have been avoiding the scale for awhile due to a sucky plateau, but I made myself weigh in this morning and I was at 179.8. Just barely below 180, but I have been stuck at 180 so long that I will take it! Now to work extra-hard so I don't bounce back up again.

This Monday - I was 204.... Down another pound! I only weigh once a week with the trainer - I did an unofficial weight after yesterday's workout - and it was 202.... Hoping it stays that way for the official weigh in tomorrow!

On Friday, I was 140.7, down from 141 the previous week (which I had attained, sad to say, through having a stomach virus). So I'm actually below goal by a fraction.
I'm dithering about what I am going to do. Do I keep doing what I am doing, and see if I stay the same or keep losing fractions each week? My goal was based on the highest number on the BMI chart that still says "normal." In other words, I sort of picked the number out of the air. Is it right for my body? Am I done? How will I know when I am done?
Questions, questions.

159.2, which means that my BMI is now 24.9!
Morbidly obese --> Obese --> Overweight --> Normal --> Yay!

saef, congrats on reaching (and getting below) goal!
I picked my goal weight semi-randomly by looking at a BMI chart and choosing whatever looked reasonable. Now that I'm 10 pounds away, I'm starting to think I might have to revise my ultimate goal, and perhaps go a little lower. I guess it will just depend on whether or not I'm happy with my body at that weight.

Drina, congratulations to you, too.
But how will we know when we're happy with our bodies? That's not an emotion I'm used to feeling when I look at myself. (I do feel a fleeting satisfaction when I wriggle into my jeans, and I'm sometimes proud of what I can make my body do now ... but complete contentment eludes me.)
I need to start a thread on this, or search for other threads with people talking about it. Don't mean to hijack this one.

I have made it to 172, broke the plateau, but not yet below 170, my next mini-goal. Always fun to read this thread, see how people are doing.
