Question Accomplishments and Resolutions

Hi everyone,

I was browsing older posts a while ago and came across one where people were posting what they did well last week, and what they wanted to do better this week. I really liked it and thought it needed to be brought up to the top again, so I'm starting a new one!

Accomplishments last week:
- Down a total of 5.6 since starting 4 weeks ago (gold star! yay!)
- Went out to eat several times and made healthy choices
- Did pilates and weight training every day
- Ate within the healthy guidelines every day
- Said no to a dinner out after looking at the menu and realizing I didn't want to sacrifice my points on a meal I wasn't really going to enjoy (I'm a social eater- this was huge for me!!)

Resolutions for this week:
- Stay within my points and exercise while on a mini-vacation
- Add some more cardio to my routine (only did it once last week...boo)
- Try to eat my healthy oils earlier in the day (I hear they make you feel fuller)

Please share yours!

Well, Monday was my first weigh in since starting my new lifestyle and I was down 4 lbs!! so....
My accomplishments for last week:
-I stuck to my new lifestyle and survived!
-I didn't cheat at all!
-I lost 4 lbs. because of it!
-I got more active, with my schedule it is really hard to fit it in, but I did it 4 out of the 5 working days, the 5th day is my WW meeting!

Goals for this week:
-Eat more vegetables!
-Keep up my positive attitude!
-Thinking about how I'm getting healthier by snacking on carrots and not the chocolate that I really want
-Rev the intensity of my daily walks!

I'm proud of myself, I somehow found the will power to stick to it this time!

I used to sit down and think about this every week, but have dropped off from doing it. I don't have many accomplishments to account for from the last week as I've been pretty off-plan for a couple weeks now. What I can say is that I commit to tracking this week. My weeks restart on Saturdays, and I have tracked every day since then. Baby steps in the right direction!

Mandylyn- That is amazing!! Good for you- it sounds like you're doing great!

Suite- I'm all about baby steps! Nice job with the tracking..it's amazing how easy it is to forget about it sometimes...

Mondays are my weigh in days. Kind of helps to keep me on track for the weekend.

Last week was wild at work. I'm a waitress and 3 out of the 5 days we had to open the extra dining room to accomodate more people. Usually we are lucky to do that one day a week. So got loads of activity at work.

Anyway accomplishment of the week
1 Ate and tracked my points! Even for stuff I shouldn't have ate.
2 Last night I had a birthday party of 40, love the young man the party was for, gave my piece of cake to a coworker. Had some Dove dark chocolate instead. Me turning away from cake is a major accomplishment for me!
3. Hit the gym 4 times!
4. Currently cooking my veggies and meal planning for next week to stay on track and on plan!
5. I washed all my prebaby (she is 14 months old) clothes and am wearing them!

Goals:
1. I'm hoping at tommorrows weigh in to see my 10% gone.
2. Increase my time on the elliptical
3. Monday afternoon and one other afternoon a play date with my children. Lots of activity for all of us to just go to the park and play.
4. I want to see a loss, I'll take anything in the right direction.

Let's see.. I really like this idea. It helps to reevaluate each week!
Last week:
-Got the wii fit and am absolutely Loving it!! It makes exercising sooo easy. This week i exercised T-Sat. I think I'll be doing a bit today also.
-started the week at 153, ate badly and went up to 157 by Tuesday. Weighed in today at 153!! I'm glad I got back down.
-I had 5 flex pts leftover yesterday!

My goals for this week:
-keep up the exercise, Monday being my rest day
-continue staying in my points
-either stay at 153, or drop. I'd rather drop, but I DO NOT want to go up!
-only weigh myself once a week..although the wii fit likes people to weight everyday. I think I'll say no anyways!

Sounds good, ladies

Ciarra- good for you on the pre-baby clothes! And good luck on the 10%! Let us know how it goes.

Tdiprincess- the Wii fit sounds like fun I also am a fan of the once-a-week weigh-in. Weight can fluctuate so much that I think weighing every day can either make you freak out, or convince you that you're losing more than you are, leading you to feel like you can cheat...Just my personal experience

This week I:
- Exercised 5/7 days- it would have been 7/7, but I have a friend visiting and it's hard to get in a workout when you're entertaining. I think I did pretty well!
- Ate all my APs (since I seem to lose more when I do) and a few flex points, and didn't feel guilty about it.
- planned my meals

Next week I will:
- Move up a level in my 30 Day Shred workout
- Get at least 7.5 hours of sleep each night

(There's an article in Glamour magazine this month about how getting 7.5 hours or more of sleep each night can help you lose weight...I'm not sure I buy it, but I do love sleep, so it's worth a try! Either way, I win.)

Prima... I started doing some research here's a couple of links on it...
USAToday
Interesting one that shows one on children

Very interesting reads. Thanks for bringing that out about the Glamour. I know the wii fit mentions getting enough sleep also. We already generally sleep about 7-8h each night, sometimes more. DH and I are both a bit overweight, but not obese. Wonder if sleep....

Thanks so much for those links, tdi! I'm definitely making this a goal for myself this week...If nothing else, I'll have more energy to work out

Uugh, I have gone 3 days without working out. 2 of the days I had legit excuses, and yesterday I was just lazy. New resolution: work out every day this week! I need to get up to level 2 of the 30 day shred....

Lost 1.6 this week!

My goal for this week: Eat all my activity points and no more - I did this last week and had my biggest loss in a long time! I think this is what works best for my body...

I forgot about this thread, glad you posted

Let's see: Last week I stayed within my points. I did exercise everyday except for Sunday..

Resolutions for this week: Get back into my normal sleep habits
Continue eating right.
I've also made it a goal to not eat any goodies until I've had all veggies, milk, fat and water. Although, I don't really count dark chocolate as a goodie. I eat one square a day, it's 0pts and its healthy, as long as I don't eat it with milk!!
Also I want to make sure I do my exercises right.. which reminds me.. I gotta go do my fitness coach for the day!!

Prima: AWESOME! job losing some weight! It's good to see that you stuck with the program and kept up your hard work and now you're reaping the benefits! Last week I only lost 2 ounces, but it was my TOM. And at least I lost LOL...

Off to exercise

Woohoo! I'm wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't worn for 4 months because they were cutting off my circulation.

Resolution: keep going until they're falling off!
