Just Discovered Excercise TV - OnDemand! It's FREE!!
Anyone out there who has OnDemand through their cable company - did you know that there are A LOT of free workouts?!?! I just discovered this last night and am so excited to try them! They're not just obscure workouts from the 80's either! Jillian's 30 Day Shred (levels 1 and 2), Carmen Electra's Strip to Fitness, The Girls Next Door, Walk Away the Pounds......there are a lot more than that, including yoga and pilates! I'm just really excited about this because it's something new there are a lot of options and the best part about them........they're FREE!! Maybe this isn't a new concept to everyone, but it is to me, so I just wanted to be sure everyone else knows too!
I love, love, love my Comcast On Demand. Not only do I have access to Fit TV with cable, but plenty of workouts with under the "Health & Fitness" section. You can watch as many as you like, or save them for later - there is no limit.
Plus, the music section is great to come up with music to work out to. Karaoke is fun too, especially to practice before doing it live.
One question though...I've just discovered it recently. Do these videos go away after a period of time? Or do they stay on forever. Cuz I like Jillian's Shred, but will I have it...forever....
They cycle through the videos, sometimes they go away and sometimes they don't. You will see that the video will have an expiration date, very often you will see the exact same video show up as 'new' on the day it expires. Sometimes they expire and don't get renewed, but I think those are the less popular ones. I've lost a couple of my yoga videos, for example. I see the 30DS on there pretty much all the time...
On this sight they have a lot of free workouts you can down load to your computer and then burn to dvd and have forever for free or others you purchace and download and burn to dvd and then have forever as well as it stays in your dvd library in the site and you can burn it again. I have done it with many GREAT FREE ONES!!! I was first turned on to it through COKE points or what ever they are called I have gotten a bunch of workouts from that.
