Default Up Your Activity Level - what did you do today?

I need some exercise ideas / motivation and accountability – I don’t think I will ever get to goal if I don’t add some exercise regularly. And I don’t think I will ever maintain if I don’t make exercise part of my life. Right now I still eat on plan 5 out of 7 days, the other 2 days I’m not terribly bad, but most times don’t get all my food in. So if I’m not losing weight this way, I know I need to exercise. So my goal is to get everyone to post daily what activities they are doing for exercise and me as well – I want to keep this thread toward at the top of the list, so help me out!

Today I walked up 3 floors of escalator 2 times. I am going to the gym after work to do 30minutes on the ellipticalX 2.5 miles in 30 minutes, but will normally post a day behind just so that you guys will know for sure that I actually did it since I come with my gym bag everyday and leave with it just the same!

Julie, I plan on doing my 8 minute abs and 8 minute arms DVD tonight when I get home tonight, just for some toning which I've not been doing a lot of lately.

I have been to 4 1 hour spin classes in the last week.

I walked 1.5kms (about a mile) into work from the carpark and 1.5kms back to the car

After work I went to the gym and did 30 minutes running on the treadmill at 12.2km/hr (7.6mph) and then a Spin class.

Today I will do the usual walk into and out of work and then run 4kms to the gym - do my weights session (about an hour) and then run the 4kms home again.

I've been feeling so run down lately and the last thing in the world I wanted to do tonight was exercise...but I forced myself and it started feeling good! And I pushed myself to do 5 minutes more on the elliptical than I have been able to do so far....in just a few weeks I have doubled my time!

I'm impressed by all of these workouts! Way to go! I usually need to fit my workouts into 30 minutes first thing in the morning, so this morning I did my Easy Steps tape.

Ok - this is exactly what I normally do - big plans, but no action. I didn't get to do my 2 shows yesterday, or my 100 abs workout. Time got away from me... So what I did was I took my walking shoes to soccer practice with my son. I have a really hard time walking while he's practicing because the 2 little ones are just pains in the butt! I thought I had the perfect solution, I had them take their Nintendo's and they seemed content to sit and play while I walked the perimeter of the fields, but after only 15 minutes my daughter was done with that and wanted to go with me - which never works because they walk too slow and they get frustrated and want to stop... so I just stopped after 15 minutes.

Today I brought my gym bag and will be doing the elliptical after work.

Julie! I am challenging you! You will go to the gym tonight. We are meeting there. Not in body but in spirit. So if I don't see you there I will assume you ditched me! So see you there lady! ha!

Julie, I didn't do my planned workout either. Oops! My DH talked me out of it at night, saying he'd do it with me the next morning and then he woke up with a headache. Oh well, I did get up and go to spin class this morning, and we had a substitute instructor who was challenging. I need to do more than just spinning class though, I've fallen into a rut.

Thanks for his thread Julie I need it

I went on the Eliptical trainer for 20 min and did a class at my gym called group power. It is a 1 hour high rep strength training class but you sweat like it is cardio because it is so fast paced.

I did 30 min bodypump dvd and 20 minute pilates ab dvd on Monday, 30 min elliptical (also 2.5 miles and 400 cal burned) on Tuesday, this morning I did bootcamp class for an hour and tonight I'm supposed to go to my 1.5 hr yoga class, tomorrow is circuit-training at the gym for at least 1 hr (and it's also my weigh-in-day), Friday is 1-1.5 hr trail-run or hike, and I usually do a 1-2 hr mountain/cross-country biking session with a group on the weekend. That's my usual workout week.

Makes me wonder why I'm not a stick??? lol.

So I went to the gym last night and did 25 minutes on the elliptical 2.25 miles. I just felt like such a Joelle (from TBL), I actually talked myself out of the last 5 minutes because I needed to go to the bank. I fight with myself constantly that it's too hard and sometimes need to even tell myself to push through! Am I crazy?

Today will be extra challenging for me, my DS has soccer practice so I can't go to the gym after work. I did bring my walking shoes so that I can walk for 15 minutes on my afternoon break and then hopefully I can get another 15-20 minutes walking at practice. I would love to get to do the abs workout, but we will see how everything plays out this evening...
