Not any more. We did at one time but it was not very satisfactory, was expensive and not used much so we dropped it. Some people chat on MSN or Yahoo.

We also had problems with troublemakers that ran off a few members, so overall it just wasn't worth it. Though I'm glad we had it for a while, because that's how we found Ruth! Of course she was on her best behavior

Yanno, if you set it up through mIRC, it would be easy to use, and you could set certain people as mods, that could kick/ban, so maybe that would limit the troublemakers!

I used to use the chat room here with someone who was a mod at the time (I don't think she's a mod anymore--4myself). Anyway, I could see back then that it wasn't used much. People would pop in and then pop out without saying anything. I think the threads are a much better way to communicate here!

For me, threads are wonderful. I tend to check 3FC while doing 10 other things.

You can add a chat room to any webpage
you just type gabbly.com before the website you are on. looks like this... (example)http://gabbly.com/www.3fatchicks.com/forum/search.php
